for her, chaos feels like a gathering storm just before lightning strikes: nebulous, churning and inevitable. actively channeling chaos leaves her body humming and, when she has to expend significant amounts of will for difficult castings or extended work, her fingers tend to tremble for hours afterwards.

she has a particular talent for elemental based magic, specifically around earth & water based magic, though she is well-versed and comfortably adept in psionics and divination. however, celine avoids psionics where possible as she finds it deeply violative and its use tends to give her a migraine.

naturally studious, she briefly considered staying at aretuza after her graduation to become a rectoress and train the next generation of students following recommendation by margarita. however, she took the chance to join the duchal court at beauclair after an appointment with raymond was secured.

while she treats magic with clear respect and reverence, celine also doesn't mind using it for the occasional more relaxed display. she'll do little tricks for the curious children of beauclair when she's out and about in the city and is more than happy to conjure up something for gatherings at the palace upon anarietta's request.

in terms of power, she sits comfortably amongst the most powerful sorceresses, though her abilities have long been overlooked by nature of her simply not caring to utilize them without need. she's certainly not up there with philippa or yennefer, she's most comparable in terms of skill to keira or sabrina.

𝐂𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄 + 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐀𝐈𝐍 𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄: celine can be found in novigrad during the game's second act having left toussaint to try and aid the mages hunted throughout the north. her primary goal is to try and aid margarita, who she counts as a close friend following her time at aretuza, and the students who fled with her. there, she encounters triss merigold and helps with the plan to help the surviving mages flee to kovir. being more or less unknown in the north, and in truth throughout most of the continent, she is able to move through the city and countryside more freely than the majority of her peers and is eager to assist where & when she can.

in the game's third act, she can be found at the rosemary & thyme as a newly-minted member of the lodge of sorceresses following margarita's request to philippa for her admission. however, she does not travel to skellige with the rest of the lodge and instead returns swiftly to toussaint following word of an attack on a member of the duchess' duchal guard.

𝙲𝙴𝙻𝙸𝙽𝙴 + 𝙰𝙿𝙿𝙴𝙰𝚁𝙰𝙽𝙲𝙴: celine is extremely aware that no small amount of her role is to exert a powerful presence, but also one that keeps in line with the expectations of beauclair’s court. in turn, she usually dresses in the same gold & black as the rest of anarietta’s ladies in waiting, though occasionally the black hue shifts towards a darker navy. while she dresses more conservatively than some sorceresses, she nonetheless favors clothes that reveal her shoulders and arms, as well as her decolletage. not having any real interest in jewelry, she’ll wear subtle pieces that have been gifted or loaned to her by the duchess for formal functions, with a preference for rings over necklaces or earrings. she knows she has a part to play and, not surprisingly, plays it very well by ensuring her appearance adheres.
