Being LGBT is not a lifestyle choice.
Things that are lifestyle choices: polyamory, childless, BDSM... none of these are LGBT. There are LGBT people who are polyamorous, childless, or into BDSM, but none of these communities are inherently LGBT.
You can be bullied, even oppressed, and not be LGBT. There are plenty of minority or oppressed communities that are not inherently LGBT.
You can fight against oppression and congregate without attaching yourself to the LGBT community unnecessarily.
