i think the thing i absolutely adore about carmen is there’s a reason for everything she does and i think that that’s one of the reasons why i adore writing for her so much. even if she doesn’t know the reason and the reason isn’t as prominent as i would like for it to be, there’s a reason why she does what she does, why her thought process is set up the way that it is. she’s a complex muse that i thoroughly enjoy delving into the depths of her conscience to see what’s going on with her, because there’s literally always, always, always something to learn. honestly, there’s never a dull moment when it comes to writing for carmen.
carmen’s friend group is another things that i like about her, others may think her friends are reckless and even dangerous but they never see personal interactions, personal feelings and how vulnerable she makes herself to her friends. she isn’t stupid and generally if she can’t benefit from a friend either emotionally or physically ( i’m talking like development wise ) then she won’t bother. but her friends are always there for her, wiping her tears on the rare occasion she does cry, giving her a strict reality check when she needs it. carmen’s friends are her family. plain and simple. and it really like (i’m getting sentimental shoot me) but it genuinely touches me seeing just how much they care for her and it isn’t the big things that they do, it’s the small stuff; like making sure she isn’t hurting herself (or others) telling her that she’s good enough to make to tomorrow, that her struggles are not forever and that if she’s struggling, they’re struggling too because they won’t leave her to suffer on her own.
her thought process is always fun to write because she doesn’t think in simple sentences, her thoughts are always scattered like broken pieces of glass and she’s always rushing to put them together to get a proper response out. it ties back into her childhood but like, whenever she thinks of something complicated she has a mild panic attack and during that panic attack she’s trying to figure out how to stop it and make herself seem normal. she’s always thinking of more than one thing at a time and it stresses her out, but it’s always interesting to watch because her thoughts are just like this big mass and what she intends to say isn’t exactly what she wants to say because she doesn’t know how to word it properly.
truthfully, i adore how cut throat carmen is. it isn’t one of those annoying ‘okay you didn’t need to say that’ type of cut throat but it’s too the point. and it honestly amazes me how she carries herself, i noticed like most muses would either wallow in their pity or just be too aggressive and i’m not knocking anyone but you get really tired of those muses that are always trying to eat your fucking face just for saying hi. carmen is polite but she also means business, and that doesn’t go to say she doesn’t enjoy intellectual banter, arguments or even pointless conversations but she literally doesn’t deal with brats. like if you give her attitude for no reason, she’s done with you. plain and simple. ( which is also why i think it’s hard for her to interact with people sometimes because she doesn’t tolerate unnecessary attitude. she’s grown, she got shit to do. )
one thing i truthfully love about carmen, and i think this just came from like many failed attempts on making muses that i was completely happy with, is that she’s legit her own person. i mean yeah i can influence her decision and shit because i’m the big fucking boss and whatever i say goes. but like, if i want her to act a certain way in a certain situation and it’s not in her quota, i literally can not write the thing, it doesn’t fit right and i will ALWAYS lost muse for the thread and simply drop it like it’s hot. and even if i don’t agree with some of her decisions i feel like that’s my child and she has to learn from her mistakes and try again or approach a situation differently.
my god i love that carmen isn’t a goddamn cry baby. i can’t tell you how much i absolutely hate muses that drag shit on for too long and you’re legit just sitting there like you’re wasting my time you’ve been crying about your stubbed toe for a fucking week bitch chill. of course muses are allowed to be depressed and such, but you will never, ever, ever catch carmen crying over something for more than i think a week tops? but even the crying simmers to a quiet sulking. i feel like, she was one of those individuals who rose above her circumstances and is just always like, alright fuck it, but what can i do about it? she’s truly a if it doesn’t kill me then i’ll be fine.
the last thing i have to say that i have noticed about carmen and see incorporated a lot within her is cause and effect. it happens with all muses but i feel like it’s displayed some prominently with her. if this and that happens to her, it’s going to cause her to act this way, or think a certain way about a situation. she has been my only muse where i can genuinely see what the hell happened and why it makes her act a certain way towards a person. i love how genuine this muse is, she’s one of those realistic muse (aside from the mutant part jfc) that i’ve ever had. she had a shitty background but she didn’t let that hinder her from doing exactly what she wanted in life.
honestly i feel like i wrote too much but i feel like carmen is going to be a long term muse for me and i thoroughly enjoy writing for her. this is my baby, my love and i thank all of you who read this and even those who interact with her. without you guys carmen wouldn’t be who she is at the moment. alright i gtg i’m being gay and emo.
