okay i know i haven’t written anythning here yet, but that’s ‘cause i’m working on a post outlining why this is a headcanon heavy portrayal, & whilst there’s not really anything in show canon ray does that i don’t vibe with, i just --- don’t love how he’s written, & think i can mould him into smth better tbh
#like by this point i have written the archetype so often and for so long#that i think i have a good grip on how to portrayal 'cocky asshole who infuriates u but also u kind of love him' who has a heart of gold#and is just a product of his circumstane#*circumstance#rather than whatever it was in the show that made him seem like two completely separate people at times#so like#sorry ??????? esp if thats not what u signed up for#hes gonna be more annoying#way more flirtatious but u also wanna punch him in the face#and . yeah#anyway -#i just really think lauren didnt know hwo to write him#bc in the book apparently hes just all bad boy asshole#and im like *cracks knuckles* my time 2 shine#my decade-old oc is ready he was the blueprint for this
