In my experience remaking a blog is much easier, especially when it has a lot of stuff in it. Also because, even if you deep clean it, Tumblr at times doesn't remove the old tags, no matter if there are no posts with those tags anymore. So, it would be much easier for you to make a new blog. The people who enjoy your writing will surely follow you to the new one!
That's what I was lowkey thinking tbh, the tag thing is an absolute pain. I was talking about it yesterday with a couple of friends and I think that revamping is a good idea. It gives me a chance to really implement the new rules I have in mind, and to start the blog from the beginning with my own canon ( as this one started quite canon-compliant and slowly changed over time ).
