I’ve been thinking again about caring for an insect as a pet, to be specific a type of mantis. The costs don’t seem to high, I would have to worry about them reproducing bc they’re fine being kept without company, and I have a friend who agreed to take care of it in times where I might not be at home.

The main downside is that I don’t know yet how to keep the live food. And that some visitors could have problems with it, but I can keep it in a different room.

I might try it out next year.
