“Nah,” he told her closing the distance between them. “You probably shouldn’t have, and you can back out at any moment, but I don’t think you honestly want to do that,” he told her nodding as he looked to her before she smiled and bit and pulled back. “Or I could be wrong. I don’t know yet. Do you?” he inquired curiously.
She didn’t want to avert her gaze as he leaned in, refusing to let him think that she was weak or backing down from the original task at hand. She couldn’t help it, though, tilting her head down and leaning back a little before turning her head back once more to face him. “I don’t back down from anything, especially taunts and dares,” she stated, holding up the baseball bat that she held in her hand by the handle, a tiny smile soon playing upon her lips as she calmed down. “I’ve seen people do this before, I think I’ll be okay, yeah?”
