#between genai use in gamedev coming up a lot again with all the new game announcements #and new changes at my workplace too that are related the the fuckass stupid good for nothing ai systems that are being increasingly implemen #*implemented #and hearing similar things from what feels like everybody #i am SO goddamn ready.#yes it will have dire consequences but well! there will be dire consequences sooner or later #and the later it gets the worse it will be #its scary to watch the accelerating speed at which everything makes itself reliant on deeply unreliable and vulneranble ai systems #lay rambles #saltyposting #time to stop getting worked up about this and start going to bed lol

has tough love actually ever worked for anyone or is that just something parents came up with to yell at you under the guise of “love” and “caring”

#personal #this is mildly rhetorical because i know tough love is often implimented in situations #*implemented #where its like the last straw when the kid is fucking up #but i mean like in general when your kid is having mental health issues n stuff and that' just how you act from the start :///

one thing i’m really appreciating is the number of games moving away from a “sanity” meter to a “stress” counter. everyone experiences stress. shout out to darkest dungeon and tharsis for moving things in a less ableist direction.
