"They could've been lovers. Worse, they never got to be"? No. Even more evil. They could've been friends. They could've gotten to know each other and spent time together and been silly together but the plot. The plot took that away from them. And now it's a forever mourning of the relationship they could've had, suffering with the snippets we got that made it so terribly clear they could've been friends.
