On the unofficial Gorillaz Reddit, Everyone's guessing the new album's sound'll steer towards M1A1 and Sound Check because of the punk-rock feel they have to them. Murdoc's greasier look and Noodle's punk rock style attire, along with a new 2D, has people guessing this'll be a faster, rock-influenced album than PB. Aside from that, Damon said that the next Gorillaz record is gonna be upbeat and funny and won't have anything slower than 125 beats per minute (eg Don't Get Lost in Heaven's Demo)

Oohh wow! I’m not usually on the reddit and I hadn’t read that interview but I would be soooo hf that! I love M1A1 (and the first album in general, really) so this just made me like, exponentially more excited. This will be their Back to Basics!! 😀

The more we are faced with challenges, the more we learn.

 Isn’t it ironic that we learn so much when we suffer as well? Think about it. For example, when you enter into a relationship too early and when that ends drastically, after that poignant experience, you become more mature and you now think twice. You learn.

 We also learn from happy experiences. But there’s this edge when we encounter not-so-good things in our lives. These sufferings, they become so much of a learning experience because when they happen, you’re often caught off-guard. Sometimes, they occur at the time when you are most vulnerable. And this is a wonder.

 Another thing is that sufferings do not tolerate us. It’s almost as instant so it can’t be calculated. What you feel or what you become after the situation is always subjective. You can say that it’s because of the pain - but still, it’s all up to you on how you handle it.

 But we must be thankful for these things. For without them, life is not complete. We learn from these wonders. They mold us to the persons we are now. It is in the irony of this statement that it becomes so essential to us. They may bring sorrow and pain but in the end, it’s a fruitful reward. They may impart bitterness and sadness, but there you are - you learn from them, grow and become successful in the end.

It's hard when people change.

 When someone you know and care for suddenly shifts from a close friend to someone you barely know or someone you wish you knew but it just won't work, it's utterly depressing, isn't it?

 It's hard because in a span of time, they seem to become indifferent or worse, someone who they promised not to be.

 More than hard, it hurts. It hurts to see that person slowly slipping away. It pains that you don't know where you place in that person's life anymore. And it's an agony to know that you are not as important in the life of the person you held dearly anymore.

Life's meaning can't be fully grasped. Because life is what you make of it. It depends on you on how you would define it.

On PNoy.

 I've never really been conjured by politics and whatever of the like. But it never served as a hinder for me to express my nationalistic side.

 Well one thing you should always expect when you're finally in college is that, people from your high school, a.k.a. your batchmates, will instantly message you on FB if they think you're witty enough to answer segments of their homeworks, researches and whatsoever. Yeah, this kinda had a source like that. 

 In this case, I was asked what is my remarks on the current administration of the Philippines, specifically our president, Noynoy Aquino; and is he fit for his role? I answered:

As the symbol of the State, I think he is. He is an exemplary leader in a closer look. PNoy proves to be what he promised - not a corrupt leader, but the one leading the hunt for "ugaling wang-wang" officials.

But on another point-of-view, he hasn't really done anything massive or overly significant. He still needs to prove his worth to the rest of the Filipino people. I know his reign might have been disturbed by earlier crisis, but PNoy must be able to come across and be more of a leader in action.

 And I say that with conviction. Whether or not, you might say, I'm informed with the present doings of PNoy, that is my stand. I am not a firm believer of his, nor do I detest him. I'm just a young lad speaking his mind when asked. I agree with PNoy's views and visions, I just don't give a damn.

Life is a journey. So it's necessary to stop for a while and have some distance.

Life is ironic.

 There comes a point in our lives when we all feel complete; satisfied with what we have. We feel exuberant and alive at a certain timeline. But there's always a paradox.

 Life is ironic, in my opinion, because when you feel light, happy or delighted, there shall be an ample amount of hardship, discomfort and pain that you will feel almost instantly. It's a reality we don't want to meet.

 But it is really like that. For what would life be with just ups and no downs? Life is complex and undeniably ironic. But it is to maintain balance I presume. Add to that the many significant lessons we acquire with what we experience as we move on and look back in our everyday lives.
