we're all mad here | alice & jane.
Alice: /Alice had been enjoying the silence in Jane’s body. Not any real silence of course, because Jane’s hearing was perfectly functional and absolutely wonderful, but the silence in her head. It wasn’t until she was in the body of someone – well – normal, did she realize just how loud her own brain was. Even her medication, which helped suppress the worst of it, didn’t completely block it out. Honestly, since waking up in the quiet, she had forgotten all about her medication. She had forgotten so much about it, she’d forgotten to tell /Jane/ about it. And now it appeared the poor girl was suffering, and Alice felt like she just might drown in guilt. She had sprinted the whole way to her house, fishing the key out from the hollow flower pot bottom outside the front door and unlocking it to let herself in – from upstairs, she could hear something, and it didn’t sound good./ Jane? /She called as she hurried upstairs, leaving the door to slam shut behind her./ Jane, is that you? It’s Alice – Jane, where are you?
