Llyra Alexandra Chambers is a singer/dancer from Long Island, New York, who performs with girl group The Janes. She is the second-eldest member of the group and is considered their lead dancer. With The Janes, Llyra performed on Season 13 of America’s Got Talent, where Mel B., Simon Cowell, and Heidi Klum all voted “yes” to the group; for unknown reasons, The Janes did not continue to appear on the show (perhaps because of an existing management deal? Who knows). Outside of her performance work, Llyra was a brief international tabloid figure in 2016 when she sued a Long Island Ferrari-Maserati dealership where she worked as a receptionist on the basis of sexual harrassment after her manager left a plane ticket to Florida and $1200 on her desk with an exhortation to “wear something sexy.” The EOCC accepted her filing after Llyra provided evidence that she was fired immediately upon rebuffing said manager’s advance. Unfortunately, the case was later dismissed on a paperwork technicality.
