Everyone's pretty positive that Kayla is like 90% caffeine and 10% whatever else is left.

She's still young, but Kayla really doesn't want to have kids because everyone always commented on how much Sophie looked like Kayla and she would be devastated if she had a daughter and her daughter ended up looking like Sophie.

Kayla and Kate listen to kpop and dance around their room to get pumped up for training/a drop/getting dinner idk man they like kpop.

Kayla has two older (twin) brothers, Alex and Owen, who are 4 years older than her and a younger sister, Sophie, who's 2 years younger than her. During the time of the first Kaiju attack, Kayla and Kate were 17 and touring the university Alex and Owen attended in San Diego. Kayla's parents and Sophie were both killed, along with Kate's parents.
Before she left for San Diego, Kayla had an inkling that something bad would happen but shrugged it off. She's never forgiven herself for it.

Even though she's not a huge fan of science, Kayla's really good at math. She got bored one summer and trained herself to basically be a walking calculator and it's stuck with her ever since.

Kayla loves Sharknado ironically, but at the same time unironically. Kate just thinks she's dumb.

Kate knows how much Kayla can't stand being cold, so during the winter, she lets Kayla snuggle with her.
