kim hye na deserved better

hye na is a sweetheart that doesn’t deserve any of the hate people are throwing at her or what the writers have done to her (it pisses me off to no end what they did, but i won’t spoil it for people who haven’t watched). yes, she did use woojoo’s crush on her to provoke ye seo, and she did blackmail ye seo’s mum, but compared to all of the crap that the kang family (minus yebin) and the coach has done, she’s an angel.

this might just be me, but i don’t think that she was a mean-spirited person. she blackmailed yeseo’s mum with the knowledge of her biological father, so that she could spend time with him. she blackmailed the other mother so that she could pay her mother’s hospital bills. she’s someone who sees an opportunity and takes it, but she rarely does it to harm the other person (the only real exception to this is the way she acts with yeseo, but that has more to do with their mutual hatred for each other and the fact that yeseo constantly provokes her). 

all in all, hye na isn’t even close to being the worst character in this drama, so miss me with the hye na hate.
