Whumptober Day 1
Jason Todd was alive.
He was also bleeding out on Dick Grayson’s apartment floor.
“What am I doing?” Dick muttered as he skidded into his bathroom, digging through the cluttered cabinet for his robust med-kit. “There are easier ways to get murdered!”
It wasn’t the first time he asked himself that question tonight. That was when he left the cave in a storm of rage, betrayal, and grief after hacking into Bruce’s files. The next was after an attempt to stop Bruce from throwing that damn batarang then rushing to protect his unconscious brother from the explosion. And the third time was when he pushed Bruce away, shouting while lifting Jason’s limp body out of the blood he lay curled up in.
“What the hell were you thinking? I know what he’s done but he’s my brother, Bruce! Your son! I got a second chance, why can’t he?”
