@kosmic.
"look at this.” her voice is low but excited. it’s the promise of a secret. she’s holding a glass in her hands and breathing, deep and even, and the water that was in the glass has balled above it, drifting weightlessly. “i made a zero gravity pocket. or - micro. i can’t tell.”

@illusioncreation
Sun was bearing down on the back of his neck, but Eli still felt a cold chill through his bones. There was no doubt in his mind that Fortis and the school was the right place for him to be at this point in his life, but he just couldn’t shake those intrusive thoughts in the back of his head. Whispers of how dangerous he could be, how pointless the entire exercise could turn out, that no matter what he did now it couldn’t take back what he’d already done.
Eli shook his head and counted to three, his hand tapping nervously against his thigh. Telling himself that things were fine didn’t really do much, so he continued walking away from the school and towards his car where he could sit down and try to breath properly again. As he walked, Eli counted every third step and made sure not to step on any cracks, tapping his chest after thirty paces. Usually he tried to ignore these compulsions, but figured it couldn’t do any harm just this once - anything to calm him down even a little bit.
It didn’t take much walking for Eli to relax, until someone else approached from the opposite direction. He didn’t want to establish himself as the weird looking one this early into his time at the school, so Elijah softened his stance and gave the young woman a weak smile. “Hi, good afternoon.” He said, really trying to seem normal that it probably came off a little forced. But talking to her would make it look like he was trying - Conner all told him to try. At least he managed a three word sentence, that was good enough for him.
