Ummmm, does anyone have any recommendations of UK footballer memoirs (or other books) I should read to better understand Roy Kent's background? I'm particularly interested in Roy's time in the youth academies, and what it might have been like to be scouted by a team that was very far away from where his family lived. Especially for any former footballers who are roughly Roy Kent's age (~38).
I know Roy Keane has a couple autobiographies, and the first one is supposed to be good, but other than him being angry and the letters in his name, I don't know how much he actually has in common with Roy Kent.
( @lilalbatross ? @banderlion ? Probably not big on memoirs, but just in case :) )
stuffing clean clothes into my laundry basket so I don’t have to put them up is a coping mechanism
