There are a few things that can bring people together more than they might be if the common ground was not between them. One of them was tragedy, the other one was mutual hatred of a thing or person. Tzuyu and, no doubt, many other teenagers found another reason why two people might be close. Fandom. Her love for convex had made her many friends both online and in real life. When she thought about it, a lot of her leisure time was spent online trying to find out more, know where they’d be, listen to music, watch videos, interviews. All of it. She would be surprised if she weren’t their biggest fan.
She knew others like them as well. It was great. She wanted to share this interest with the world. She would love it if everyone recognized that they were amazing. Eunbin and her might not be the best of friends or super close but they spent their time fangirling. Very recently, Tzuyu discovered that Eunbin also dances and they’d made plans to dance together. It was for fun but Tzuyu still spent most of the evening prior, watching dance practice videos and trying to mentally memorize Convex dances-not that she didn’t know how they went for the most part anyway. Still, she knew the other girl was a better dancer. Even if Tzuyu was good, she didn’t want to be too far behind in skill level.
She wasn’t sure if the other girl knew of a studio or if they would go to one of their houses and clear out a living room-make it that kind of hang out day. As she walked in to the coffee shop they agreed to meet at, she thought about the one detail they didn’t discuss. She pulls out her phone and types a quick text to her friend.
[text: Eunbin] I’m here. We also didn’t decide where were doing this. Let’s discuss when you arrive, ok?
She didn’t order coffee thinking anything other than water before dancing would be counterproductive. Instead, Tzuyu grabs a seat and waits.
