day one of @forbiddenwhims's forgotten ones challenge - imaginary friend. meet paisley!
wish i had the funds 2 b high on molly 24/7
I REALLY need to put that light on my bike...I keep accidentally only taking it out at night while I’m wearing all black, and I don’t have that reflective DON’T RUN ME OVER patch on my backpack any more
(so these are some questions i had to answer when i was creating a character for school) What is your character's biggest pet peeve? Do they have a special object that they cherish? What are some words/phrases they use a lot? What is the inciting incident that kicks off the whole conflict? Talk about their family/good friends/etc. :)
okay i am gonna do this for paisley since she’s my most detailed character!!
What is your character’s biggest pet peeve?
She DETESTS when people apologize for a situation or event they did not cause. “Oh, your parents died? I’m sorry.” It’s something she can’t understand, but she’s also never been the best at grieving. Another pet peeve would be people asking her constantly how she’s feeling or how she is as she’s not a sharer of her emotions. Also when people don’t cover their mouth when they sneeze.
Do they have a special object that they cherish?
An orange and pink lanyard bracelet that her late younger sister made for her during a crafting lesson at school.
What are some words/phrases they use a lot?
"Shut up." "Go away." "Fuck." "You’re an idiot." She obviously says more than that but that’s the general gist of Paisley’s Phrases.
What is the inciting incident that kicks off the whole conflict?
Like, how she gets to the camp? Basically, Australia is one of the last countries to receive the virus so her and her family have been packed for weeks and have knowledge of the situation. Her parents, however, are found to be infected during working hours and are executed without Paisley knowing, who has to explain it to her younger sister, Claire. Believing they’re both immune, Paisley takes herself and her sister to the loading bay where the immune are flown off to various camps across the world. It is here where Claire is found to be immune and is ripped from Paisley’s hands, who screams and flails as her younger sister is ushered over to the firing squad. It’s sort of fucking tragic.
