Marvel xReader Fic Swap - Round 1 Sign Up
Have you ever wanted to find things to read but struggled to find something in the tags? Do you want to get some more eyes on your own works? Then this is the event for you!!
What it is:
The fic swap works by matching participants up using a secret santa generator, and then each person will read, reblog, and comment on one other person’s fic, and in return someone else will read, reblog, and comment on one of theirs! It’s a low stress and simple event where we can spotlight some of the works we’ve already written and spread some joy to other authors and readers!
Each round will have two smaller swaps, one for a male character and one for a female character. You can choose to swap for both characters (then you’re reading two fics and getting two comments) or just swap for one. This round’s characters are Bucky Barnes and Wanda Maximoff.
To sign up, you’ll need at least one SFW oneshot that is between 1k and 6k words. You can submit two fics upon signing up (this way your person can choose which one they want to read) and one of them can be NSFW if you’d like, but for those that don’t read smut, I ask that at least one work be SFW.
The threshold for each character’s swap to be run is eight participants. If one character makes that number and the other doesn’t, only the one character’s swap will be run. If a swap doesn’t run, I’ll make a post seeing if participants want to either extend the sign up time, or just call it off. I am adding the participant threshold because honestly? it’s way more fun for everyone with more people involved, and hopefully people will bring their friends and mutuals. There is no limit to how many people can participate.
How to Sign Up:
Fill out this google form and reblog this sign up post to the blog you’re going to participate with (while likes are appreciated, I want to keep track of everyone and follow you from the event blog, so a reblog makes things a lot easier)
Sign ups will end on July 6th, 2022 at 9 PM EDT. After that, you should get two emails: one from a secret santa generator with your person’s name, and one from [email protected] with the guidelines and a list of everyone’s fics. I will be using a different secret santa generator than I have in the past, but it’s still easy to use.
After you get your person, you have one week to read and comment on one of the fics they have provided. For this round, that should be done by July 14, 2022. When you reblog, tag this blog in your post so I can mark you down.
After that, I’ll make a list of all the fics reblogged to try and get some more eyes on them, and then the round will be over!
