I don’t know if anyone is still here from that moment, but a couple of months ago I shared a bubble tea recipe and now, i tried to make my own tapioca pearls and also rolling them out took a minute, they actually turnt out pretty good so, if anyone is interested in trying ^^
I just wanted to share my result! I followed this recipe because it looked very simple, and you basically need just 3 ingredients : brown sugar, tapioca starch and water! These are the brands I used: tapioca | brown sugar
I didn’t follow the recipe exactly though : I used only 2 cups of starch and also, I cooked the pearls for 20 minutes and let them rest for 23 minutes! I like when the pearls are very mushy so that’s why I did that. Also I’ve had an obession with houjicha for the last couple of months I can’t stop with it rip
My advice is to make the pearls a bit smaller because they tend to swell up (is that the right word) when they’re cooked so... i got a bit f by it because later on they wouldn’t go through my straw lmao also i didn’t cook everything, you can keep them a couple of days in the frigdge but longer in the freezer i guess :)
Another advice would to not forget to cover the dough with food wrap as you make the little pearls to prevent it from drying

There are so many things I love about going to church that I’ll probably go back to an Episcopal church or UU church once I’m able to, even if I still don’t believe. Churches (specifically liturgy) provide so much. The reflective lulls, the numinous experience of worship, communal singing, prayer/meditation, actively reflecting on how to make your life and the world better -- you can find them outside of a church building, but you have to be a lot more intentional about it.
