Another idea: This kid(and Margaret) live on a ship. That way Davy sees them whenever he wants and this was a temporary school, just so repairs could be made. Normally, Margaret handles education.

Everyone thought this child was just making something up because the father isn't around or something. But then Davy shows up just to say hi and take them aboard the Dutchman to visit all their uncles.

Maccus probably went with Davy, too, so hammerhead boi is getting a hug from a small child while everyone else is looking hella afraid.

The confusion and terror was amusing. Margaret definitely had to explain some things, like no, Davy is not going to kill you. Yes, he is the father and loves his tiny one

omg!! the cuteness!!! yes! I love all of this!! And yes, Margaret would do a very fine job educating the lil' one with a classical education =w= and Davy too!

In their conversation when Margaret mentions her (late father's) ship Ol' Navigator, I was thinking too that it makes sense for Margaret to live at sea most of the time in this scenario. And throughout history ships can and do travel in groups, so it makes sense as a solution to always be together! <3

Also yes, 100% agree Maccus deserves hugs and nice things =w=
