We are the crowd, we’re coming out, got my fash on it’s true, need that picture of you, it’s so magical, we’d be so fantastical.
I was awoken by loud voices and a lot of commotion coming from outside my bedroom window. I rubbed my eyes, placing my feet on the cold floor, trying to peek out my window, I saw a moving truck and a few men helping lift boxes and furniture out of the truck and into the house across the street. I kept watching for a little bit, until I saw one boy, he looked about my age, he was wearing ripped jeans and a loose fitting band t-shirt, he had messy hair, but it was still cute, I looked away after realizing I was staring for way too long. I walked back to my bed, sat down, and grabbed my phone, contemplating taking a picture to send to my friends or not. “It’s alright, people do it all the time, it’s not weird right”, I said to myself trying to convince myself that it was okay. I walked back to the window and saw him walking out of the moving truck, box in hand, I turned my camera on my phone on and snapped a quick picture, and sent it to my friend with a text reading, “I got woken up with a good view today” laughing to myself before putting my phone down and making myself look decent before going to welcome the boy to the neighbourhood. I walked across the street to the house, seeing him carrying another box up to the house, “ You look like you need a little help “ I say, seeing him jump a bit almost dropping the box, but laughing once he turns around, “ Sorry, I didn’t hear you coming up behind me, and I think I’m okay but you’re welcome to stay and watch me struggle” we both laughed and I picked up a smaller box that was sitting on the ground by his car, following him up to the house. “ I’m Kelsey by the way, I live right across the street, my bedroom window faces directly to what I can assume to be yours “ I say, realizing it sounded weirder than when I said it in my head. He gave me a weird questioning look, before smirking and saying, “ I’m Kyle, and I’ll make sure to pick a different room “
I’m your biggest fan I’ll follow you until you love me. Baby, there’s no other superstar, you know that I’ll be, your paparazzi.
It was a few days after Kyle had moved in, I had a small collection of pictures of him when he looked extra good walking out of his house, that’s not weird right, I was just sending them to talk about them to my friends, that’s just something girls do, right? Anyways, I basically had him on schedule. 9 am, from what it looks like, 9 is usually when he leaves for the gym, or for a morning jog around the block, he looked really good when going for his morning jog so I have a few extra pictures of that. Around 11 is when he gets back from the gym and he typically hangs around his house, unless he has classes and those are usually around any time between 12-6pm, but other than that he doesn’t seem to leave his house. I get too nervous to talk to him since our first encounter, so it seems like a safer bet to just relax inside the house, I’m just waiting for the right moment. The next morning I decided to get up early and try to go for a morning jog, not for any reason, just feel like I need more exercise in my life, maybe it’s a good opportunity to talk to Kyle but that didn’t really come to my mind until now. I was standing by my window and saw him start to walk out his door, so I decided that was a good time to go for my jog. I walked outside, to him saying “Wow what’s the house monster doing outside”, I scoff pretending to act hurt “ how do you know I never leave the house “, maybe he does the same thing I do, maybe it’s not as weird as my friends are telling me.
Promise I’ll be kind, but I won’t stop until that boy is mine.
After going on a few morning jogs together, we decided to exchange numbers and just start texting, at first he was making fun of me for how much I had to stop for a breather when we went for runs, but now we have regular conversations just learning more about each other. I learned that when he’s inside the house for the rest of the day he’s actually making music, he plays guitar and has sent me videos, he’s actually pretty good! I have a whole album created for him now, the pictures of him, the videos he sends of me, just a friendly little collection. Whenever I text him and he doesn’t answer for at least a half hour I just keep texting him until I get a response, I think he liked when I would do that because I was giving him attention. Sometimes it would take forever for him to answer, and i’d start to get concerned on where he was, but he would end up sending a simple “ what? “ and I’d be at ease.
I’ll be your girl, backstage at your show, velvet ropes and guitar, yeah cause you’re more rockstar.
I noticed Kyle leaving at a weird time tonight. It was around 9 pm when I heard his car starting up so I decided to see what was up. I didn’t want to text him because then he’d think that’s weird, so I decided to turn on find my friend on my phone, It looked like he was headed to this place where local battle of the bands happened, so I decided to go and see him, no harm in that right. By the time I got there I decided, maybe I can go backstage maybe he’s performing. I sneakily made my way past the security and just popped backstage, and say Kyle with his guitar, I admired him for a few seconds before walking up behind him and tapping him on the shoulder, surely he’d be happy to see me right? He turned around and had a confused look on his face, “ Kelsey… what are you doing here” he said looking around, I smiled and said “ I wanted to come see you perform! The videos you sent me were really good”, but when I said that his expression just became more puzzled and he just stared, “ but how did you know I’d be… here.”, he sounded slightly annoyed, and maybe a little scared, I had no answer, I didn’t know how to explain myself, “ I think you need to leave Kelsey, I knew you were a little off, but I didn’t think you were this crazy” and when he said that it hurt me, he called over a nearby security guard and they escorted me out. I still texted him good luck, but he didn’t seem to appreciate that one.
