“Her Best Customer” Reze x Male Reader. Part 3… kinda? It could be disconnected from the previous two, it just follows the same storyline as 1 and 2. Reze was in a tight pinch, she couldn’t deny that. Of course she had the money her late superiors gave her for her mission… but she spent it all on her dates with Y/n… and she had the money she got from her job as a waitress… but she also spent it all on Y/n… so essentially she was living in a condemned building with the bare necessities. A bed, and a “shower” that only produced cold, barely clean water. But she of course didn’t tell Y/n that, as she didn’t want him to worry, but eventually she had to, since there were times where he wanted to hang out with her at “her place”, and when he got there, he was very worried at the fact that Reze was living like that. When he learned she spent ALL her money on him, he felt really bad, but she said it wasn’t his fault as she decided to spend all her money on him. But the next time he went to her restaurant she worked at, after he got a drink with her. He gave her a rather decent tip. His parents gave him a decent allowance, and as such he could fund her whenever he went to her place of work. She told him he didn’t have to, but he felt good doing so, and as the time went on, Reze eventually had enough money to get a decent apartment. Sure, it only had a living room/kitchen and a bedroom, but it was a lovely and far nicer than the places she lived in back when she was an assassin. Seeing that Y/n had helped her to live in such a lovely place, she gave Y/n in a big hug and kiss, thanking him that she had him in her life, and in the end, they finally got to hang out, at “her place”.
Still working stuff up for our adorable Bomb Devil, so expect that! Have a nice day, stay hydrated, and happy new year!
Giving reze money to help her
Reze had never really lived in good places, during all of her missions she just found the cheapest places she could and lived there for however long was needed. Frankly the money she got as an assassin was already barely enough for her living necessities and so she couldn't afford much more
And that didn't change when she met and even after you began your official relationship. She still lived in an incredibly small building with only a shower a small kitchen and a bed, she didn't care that much about that herself though, after years of living like that she had gotten used to it
As for the money she gained from her job at the Cafe she spent it all on dates with you and on you in general. At first it was just to win you over but after quitting her mission and realizing that she truly loved it was just because she wanted to. You were the most important person in her life and she wanted to make you happy any way she could, which is why she was so sad to see you disappointed at not being able to hang out at her place
"Hey reze for a change of pace how about we go at your place for our next date?"
"My place?"
"Yeah, i don't think I've ever been there, that sounds fun"
"Ah...well I don't know about that"
"Why not? I'm sure it's nice"
"Ah.....I guess if you really want to then it's fine"
She only really agreed because she couldn't bear to disappoint you and so she tried her best to clean up her place for your arrival even if it didn't help much. When you arrived you couldn't believe your eyes, you didn't think reze lived in such terrible condition and when you asked her why and she explained she spent most of her money on you you couldn't help but feel guilty
So the next day you went to her café as you usually did but this time after chatting over a cup of coffee you slided her a bunch of cash, which was already unusual as she usually lets you drink on the house but then she realized the money was way more than was needed for just the coffee
"Y/n, what is this?"
"Consider it your tip for being such an amazing waitress and girlfriend"
"A tip?"
"Yes, after seeing the conditions in which you live i just couldn't let it slide, i love you and if there's anything I can do to help i want to do it"
"...y/n..."
"And don't you think about spending it on me, these are your money that you need to use for yourself got it?"
"Yes of course....thank you so much y/n"
You kept giving her money until she could finally afford a place, even if it was just a small apartment it was way better than any place she had lived in and now you could finally hang out together there, and she had only you to thank
"Your place looks really nice reze, i'm glad you finally live in a nice place"
"Thank you, it's all thanks to you"
[Reze suddenly hugs you and kisses you deeply]
"Truly i don't know how I can thank you enough there's nothing I love more than you, i'm so glad to have met you"
"Me too reze, i just want to see you happy"
[She smiles and kisses you again]

CONTENT: Fluff, comfort, oneshot
SINOPSE: And then I go and spoil it all, by saying something stupid like 'I love you'.
A/N: I wrote 2 Denji smut fics sooo why not a silly fluff? hehe
The night was dark, dark enough to show people's true secrets and feelings they'd hidden far, far away from where others could find them— only to be cracked open by an innocent night.
It's almost like the twisting pain of heartbreak in your chest didn't exist. The thoughts that kept you up at night, once sounding like a fork scratching an old blackboard, now sounded like a soft hum near your ears, it didn't bother you, not when you were here.
The fireflies flew around, just above the running lake beneath you, the brightest source of light apart from the distant bright yellow streetlights that didn't quite capture nature's beauty enough— not like fireflies did.
"Fireflies are about to be extinct, y'know?" You commented, leaning on the weathered wooden railing, overlooking the lake beneath you. The water stretched slowly while reflecting the quiet moonlight with fireflies drifting through the reeds.
"The hell ya mean?" Denji turned his head to face you, shifting his weight as the wood creaked below his elbows.
You tilted your head slightly at him, your gaze shifting between the water rippling with tiny fireflies dancing above it and the blond boy's confused face
"Scientists said they could be at risk of extinction, and judging by humanity's natural selfishness, I don't doubt they'll be gone in a few years." You replied softly, the silence growing thicker before you added: "Streetlights confuse them, sometimes they can't even find each other."
Denji fidgeted with his fingers, eyeing the running lake with fireflies above, the ones you just said could soon be gone— forever. He seemed almost sad, like he was genuinely pitying the poor fireflies, and you couldn't help but stare at him for a moment.
You hadn't expected him to care.
Not about something as small as this.
"That sucks." He blurted out, making you blink out of your daze. "Fireflies are cool as hell. Like— they're the best flies ever." The blond boy muttered in a surprisingly soft tone. "Shame they gotta go soon." He watched one drift lazily over the water before scratching the back of his neck. "Wish I could keep one or somethin'. Guess it'd probably die though."
You let out a quiet laugh. "They're actually beetles, not flies, y'know?" You corrected him with a sweet light smile already curling on your lips.
His jaw dropped almost instantly. "Whaaattt? No way! Why are they called fireflies then?!" His eyebrows shot up as confusion washed over his face, gesturing at the fireflies over the lake with his hand.
"Dunno. Guess 'firebeetles' would be too weird." You shrugged with a light smile. "But you're right, wish I could keep one too." You added, as silence fell over the both of you.
Denji fidgeted with his sleeve, his eyes following the sparks of the fireflies while aggressively nibbling the inside of his cheek.
"Ya know a lot about fireflies." He said after a good long while of silence.
You smiled, either to yourself or to him. "I just think they're pretty." You answered, as the soft ripple of the water covered the absence of your voice.
Denji let out a soft hum, watching the pretty fireflies fly over the reeds.
"You brought me here 'cause of the fireflies, didn't ya?"
"Yeah." You muttered, a soft smile curling on your lips.
He tilted his head, finally looking at you, his brows knitted slightly as his fingers absently tapped against the weathered wood.
"How'd ya know they'd be here?"
His question lingered between the two of you for a beat. Your fingers tightened on the rough wooden railing beneath your palm as you bit your lip.
"Came here before." You replied softly, tilting your head slightly as your gaze drifted to follow the beautiful lake.
Denji bit the inside of his cheek, drumming his fingers on the top beam, he looked like he was hesitating, or pondering what to reply to fill in the awkward silence. "...Was it nice?" He finally asked, staring at you as he curled his fingers around the damp wood.
"At the time it was."
"At the time...?"
His eyes narrowed, brows knitting together in confusion. "Whaddya mean?"
"It's... Kind of more about the person you're with than the place itself." You explained softly, feeling your throat threaten to tighten before you spoke.
From your peripheral, you could see his confused expression show up even more, his gaze flickering to the lake for a split second as if it had the answers to whatever you were trying to say.
"...Why are you bein' so vague..?"
The silence stretched over the two of you, the soft noise of the water rippling seeming to almost slow down to match the serene rhythm of your slow breaths, while the fireflies kept gracefully drifting around, bringing a bright yellow hue to the dark, blueish night.
"It's... My ex." You finally spat out, after biting your lips enough to leave a bitter, metallic taste on your tongue.
"But this is better, a lot better." You said, bringing your gaze up to meet his confused expression and knitted eyebrows.
You watched as his expression twisted from confused to even more confused, but now with a pinch of surprise, that being clear as his eyes widen, mouth beginning to open and hanging agape like so.
"Y-you really think so?" He stammered, a crimson hue starting to climb up his neck and spread across his cheeks, fingers twitching on the wooden railing.
"Yeah, I'm sure."
You bit your bottom lip, sinking your teeth on the soft flesh, feeling a small smile threatening to curl on your lips despite trying to bite it down so hard.
"U-uh—" Denji stammered, feeling the heat radiating from his cheeks, trying to avert his gaze over to the lake, his shoes, the fireflies you so loved, anything. "Y-y'know... This is nice for me too..." He blurted out, voice dropping to a softer tone despite his shaky breath.
He fidgeted with his fingers, leaning further close to the wooden railing. "I mean... Ya haven't tried to kill me yet, and this place is kinda cool so— pff. 'S nice." He muttered, a sheepish grin forming on his lips enough to show his sharp teeth.
The smile you've been trying so hard to bite down broke free, the last drop of holding back in you shattering completely as your smile takes over your face enough to make your eyes crinkle around the corners, rubbing your hand on your face as if to hide your stupidly happy expression.
"I'm glad you're happy" You muttered, fiddling with your fingers while poking a loose, wooden splinter on the railing. "I'm really glad I brought you here." You added, your expression fading into something softer, quiet as the moment itself. You could almost feel his burning gaze from your peripheral, suddenly startled by your comment.
"I thought I'd never go back to this place— even if it was really special for me." You bit your bottom lip, not biting back a smile this time, but something else, as if pondering whether to spit out your words or not.
"I thought they ruined it all— this place, my favorite song, even the fireflies, gosh..." You rested your forehead on your palm as you felt your throat tighten, your gaze desperately trying to stay locked on the fireflies, as if looking at his face would make you break right there, even if he was probably shaking right now.
A sheepish chuckle escaped your lips, as you leaned further on your elbows against the wooden railing, watching the fireflies fly over.
You could see his trembling hands when you leaned further, fingers tightening around the wooden material as if it would stop his shaking completely, a very obvious shade of red washing over his face you could see even in the bright yellow light from the fireflies.
"But they didn't."
You finally added after what felt like an eternity of silence, your lips trembling as your eyes began to water, another soft giggle escaping your lips despite yourself. "I really thought I loved it."
"Or at least I convinced myself I did."
Your jaw tightened after you exhaled softly, the only thing breaking the thick silence between you were the gentle rhythm of the lake rippling beneath the moonlight, the occasional whisper of the rustling leaves and the faint buzz of insects somewhere distant, while the delicate fireflies continued to drift, completely undisturbed by the words hanging between you.
You took a deep breath before your lips parted, ready to break the silence and join the quiet hum of the night.
"I think I understan—"
"I love you."
His voice cut right through yours like a chainsaw, making your breath hitch almost immediately, words stuck inside your throat. Your head quickly snapped to face him, only to watch his eyes widen and cheeks flush even redder than before.
He didn't mean to say that.
He meant to listen to you.
To let you finish.
The silence that came right after felt almost poisoning, you both stood there, mouths agape, as your eyes met, both wide open with a startled, confused expression.
His hands began to shake, and he rushed one of them to his forehead, words spilling out of his mouth in random, incoherent stutters.
"I— fuck! Shit— I-I didn't... I didn't..."
He dragged his hand down his face, squeezing his eyes shut as he felt his face grow hot, sweat beginning to bead. "I didn't— I didn't mean to say that! N-not yet... Fuck!"
You stared at him, your lips parted, yet no words came out, only a choked sound that barely classified as a gasp.
He opened his eyes to meet the shocked look on your face, only making his eyes widen even further and his fingers tighten around the railing.
"I-I... I-I'm sorry— fuck! I meant to listen to you! I was tryin'ta—I dunno!" He stammered desperately, eyes darting everywhere but at your face.
You swallowed, feeling the familiar tightness in your chest return—except, for the first time this night, it didn't hurt, not at all.
You tightened your grip around the weathered wooden material, your heart hammering against your chest, lips trembling as they parted.
"I was going to say something."
His eyes finally met yours, feeling his sweat make his golden hair stick to his forehead. "W-what?"
Your eyes stung, but you smiled through the tears gathering in your eyes anyway.
"Nothing."
angel devil who loves sweets, and his favorite flavor just happens to be the sweet taste between your thighs.
✧Comfort Characters x Reader - Their Comforting Touches ✧

❤ Chainsaw man - Aki ❤
Your head his tucked under Aki's chin. Your breathing is erratic, chest heaving up and down rapidly.
Everything feels wrong.
Everything feels like too much and not enough at the same time.
Tears pearl at the corner of your eyes.
You clutch his shirt in your fist.
The poor man hadn't even had time to come home from work before he was taking care of you. The thought crosses your mind, leaving a bitter taste in your mouth.
"I'm sorry," you whimper against his chest, trying to leave his embrace.
But Aki doesn't let you go that easily, knowing full well you haven't calmed down.
His hands making their way in the middle of your back.
His thumb softly tracing along your spine.
Solid.
Reliable.
Up and down.
Slow enough that you're able to match your breathing to his rhythm.
Seconds, minutes pass.
Aki keeps up the ritual he developed over time, grounding you in moments like these.
Standing in the middle of your apartment, you feel him tilt his head until his lips are brushing against to tip of your ear.
"What are you sorry about?" His voice above a whisper, like he's trying not to disturb the stillness settling over you.
You know the thoughts from earlier came from panic. That it was stupid to assume in the first place.
"I was sorry for bothering you when you just got home from work," you admit.
Aki's fingers trace down your spine one last time before settling at your waist.
His forehead rests lightly against yours.
"And I'm sorry I wasn't there sooner."
You take a breath, about to argue with him because he shouldn't feel sorry about that.
You would've done the exact same thing if the roles were reversed.
But he cuts you off gently—
"Now, tell me what's wrong."
❤ Sentence To Be A Hero - Xylo ❤
You've been pacing around for about ten minutes.
Grumbling to yourself.
Anger boiling under your skin.
"This is so unfair. They can't do this!" You spit to no one in particular.
In fact, the rooftop is empty.
The stars and the last flickering candle are the only sources of light, enough for you to see your surroundings.
You spot a loose rock on the ground.
You grab it and throw it like your trying to reach the moon.
It doesn't resonate. It doesn't crush. It doesn't soothe the fire in your heart.
The door open briefly, revealing the voices and chatter from inside.
A familiar pair of boots echoes on the stones.
Xylo stops beside you, keeping his eyes on the horizon until he notices your jaw is so tight its about to snap.
"They can't make us do that," you grumble again.
Your eyes still fixed on the horizon, but you squeeze them shut, trying to stop tears from falling.
Xylo turns to you without a word.
The knuckle of his index finger settles under your chin.
Guiding your face up slowly.
Slower. Gentler. People wouldn't think he could be capable of such tenderness.
"You've been sulking all evening thinking I didn't have a plan?" His voice soft, leaving no room for uncertainty.
One brow lifts.
Teasing.
Your eyes open, meeting his golden ones.
Of course he would!
The Captain of your unit.
The very resourceful Xylo Forbartz!
Would have a backup plan.
You find yourself leaning into his touch.
His finger under your chin guides you closer as he leans down.
But just as he closes his eyes, nearing your lips—
Smack.
A playful hit lands on his chest, making his eyes fly open as he realized you've pulled away.
"You had a plan all along and didn't even tell me!" you protest, crossing your arms over your chest with an exaggerated pout.
Xylo sighs, shaking his head.
Better have you mad at him than anything else weigh on your heart.
❤ Wind Breaker - Umemiya ❤
You're sitting on the couch placed so randomly on the rooftop.
One book lies beside you, left open with colorful sticky notes decorating the edges.
You're notebook rests on your lap, your eyes glued to the pages as you try to decipher what you might've missed during your lectures.
Making sure you're prepared enough for the upcoming test.
You're spiraling with anxiety so badly that you barely remember your boyfriend was the one who invited you to study here in the first place.
For the life of you, you couldn't understand why.
People were coming and going all the time.
Some asking Umemiya for advice.
Some to report to him.
You couldn't exactly call it a quiet place.
Before you notice the change in your surroundings...
A warm arm settles around your shoulder.
The couch dips beside you.
Umemiya's touch always feels heavy.
Not crushing. Not breaking. More like a warm blanket on a cold day.
"How's the studying going, pretty girl?" he asks, his fingers tracing lazy shapes on your shoulder.
You sigh deeply.
Probably the only answer that could truly describe your state.
"I see, a grave case of mental exhaustion!" he exclaims, taking the notebook from your lap along with the pen you've been absentmindedly chewing on.
He carefully tucks the pen between the pages before setting everything aside.
His arm never leaves your shoulders.
Slowly, you rest your head against his collar bone.
Giving in into your "golden retriever energy" boyfriend.
This man is unfair.
In less than five minutes by your side, he'd succeeded to calm your whole nervous system, the same one that had been ruining your sleep schedule for the past few days.
Because Umemiya knows best.
❤ Jujutsu Kaisen - Sukuna ❤
"Are you sure I made the right decision?" you ask your boyfriend.
The two of you are lying in bed. Trying to sleep. Trying.
"Yes—" he starts, voice low, but you cut him off with another argument produced by your overthinking brain.
"It's not like I can do anything about it if I regret it anyway..."
At this point, Sukuna knows exactly what's happening to you.
He's just waiting for you to catch up.
But maybe his patience has its limits.
You turn again under the sheets, your back facing him.
Like you're trying to physically turn away from your thoughts.
"It's a new challenge. That's how I need to approach it." You say out loud.
More to convince yourself but barely succeeding.
"Exactly," Sukuna mumbles.
He reaches across the bed but you move again.
"But what if I hate it? Change is so fucking scary!" You continue your monologue.
"Mhm."
Sukuna's patience getting thinner with every second your mind keeps racing.
"What if—"
Your sentence is cut off by a large arm wrapping around you.
Single handedly bringing your body to his side.
Your head settles on his chest, his bicep becoming your pillow.
Tucked just under his chin.
Then—
His hand travels from the middle of your back to the nape of your neck.
His large palm easily warming your entire neck.
His thumb rubbing the tense muscles just under your skull.
Two fingers travelling up, tracing slow paths through your hair.
Warm. Solid. Real. Grounding.
"Enough." His voice is low, almost stern.
Like he wants to dominate your anxious thoughts.
And apparently, it works.
Within seconds, your shoulders stop bracing for imminent impact. Your ear focusing on his steady heartbeat.
"You're a smart woman," His voice tone down to something slightly softer than earlier. "We'll figure it out when we get there."
A pause.
Like he's letting the words sink into your brain.
"For now, sleep." His words sounding almost like a command, but his lips pressing in your hair is betraying how intimidating he wants to be.
"Thanks, Suki." You whisper against his skin.
Your eyelids growing heavy with exhaustion.
You press a kiss under his jaw before settling your head down again.
The warmth on the back of your neck helping you settle quickly into a deep sleep.
❤ Jujutsu Kaisen - Toji ❤
You've been staring in the aisle for the last ten minutes.
For the life of you, you couldn't make a decision today.
Maybe it was your hormones. Maybe the weather had you in the wrong mood. Mars in retrograde, who knows?!
All the functionality and rational thoughts spiraled through your mind. What was practical. What made sense.
But another part of you was pulled toward what you really wanted. What you like. What you know you'd actually use because it made you happy.
You sighed in the middle of the desert aisle.
Eyes still scanning the two options in front of you.
Then—
Two large hands settle on each of your shoulders.
Strong fingers kneaded the tensed muscles.
"What is it, doll? You look like this is a life-or-death situation." Toji mumbled, clearly amused by your struggle.
"I can't decide." You answer, trying to stay tense.
Your brain convinced you that stress was the only way to solve every life's problem.
"Get the one you want. That's it." He said it like its the simplest thing in the world.
Your mind slows down as his thumbs digs deeper into your shoulders.
His cologne invading your nose, warm, homey.
"Come on," Toji whispers in the crook of your ear. "Get the one you want, and I'll make you relax when we get home." His lips barely grazing the sensitive skin.
He knows what he's doing.
His hands still kneading into your shoulders.
You glance at him, mirroring his smirk.
You leave his touch only to take what you wanted before slipping your hand into his.
Leading him to the nearest cashier.
❤ Jujutsu Kaisen - Choso ❤
You hung up the phone.
Your eyes can't seem to focus on anything.
Choso looks at you from the couch.
There's no tears.
No screams.
No visible panic.
But he knew to well that you bottled everything up, just like he does.
To protect the people around you. So no one has to worry about you.
But Choso understands.
In the way your jaw tightens. In the way your eyes wander everywhere except toward him. In the way your lips presses together, like holding back an explosion.
Choso gets up and walks over to you.
Without a word. Without asking questions.
He simply pulls you into his arms. Both arms wrapping securely around you.
Warm. Solid, yet gentle.
Like he's trying to shield you from anything that could threaten your happiness.
Your face tucked itself into the crook of his neck.
His hoodie is warm.
It smells like him.
Safe, loved, cared for, home.
Your hands slowly find the strength to clutch the back of his hoodie.
Your face burying deeper into him.
Like your trying to hide within him.
Into the only place that still feels safe.
Things won't magically get better.
But you'll never have to face them alone.
❤ Jujutsu Kaisen - Gojo ❤
You open your lunch bag at your desk.
Your stomach had been reminding you to eat for the past forty-five minutes.
You had to comply.
Now.
You open the plastic container where you'd packed your sandwich that morning.
Only to find the container full of cold cuts.
Realization dawns on you.
Both containers sitting side by side in the fridge.
Same size. Same weight.
You couldn't just eat plain cold cuts while your sandwich is waiting for you at home.
But you definitely didn't have time to go back home either.
You sigh.
Maybe he wouldn't be able to help you.
But he'd certainly scold you in the funniest way imaginable if he found out you needed him and didn't ask for his help because you didn't want to bother him.
You grab your phone and open the top chat.
Y/N: I forgot my lunch at home and accidently brought this. 😭 (photo attachment)
Freak💙: I'm omw, princess!💖 With something better even!
Y/N: I don't need you to buy something, Toru. My lunch is in the fridge.🙈
Freak💙: Just say you don't love me!😒 Anyway, your knight in shinning armor is in the lobby!
You roll your eyes at your boyfriend's usual dramatic antics.
But when you get off the elevator, you can't help yourself but smile.
He's standing there, with lunch from one of your favorite spot.
Satoru smiles brightly like you didn't just inconvenience him.
"Sorry to have made you do this, Toru." You say as he hands you the bag.
"You kidding?" He starts. "I get to run an errand for my best girl and see her in the middle of the day? I'm the one who should be thanking you, sweets."
His voice carries his usual playful energy, but none the less, you know he's honest about how much he cares about you.
"Stop this none sense and go enjoy your lunch, baby." Satoru leans down to press a kiss on the top of your head.
The gesture lasting a few seconds longer than just a peck.
Like he's making sure you can feel his touch throughout the elevator ride back to your office.
You were already looking forward to see him after work.
❤ Jujutsu Kaisen - Geto ❤
Your lower abdomen had declared war on the rest of your body.
Taking you hostage.
You'd been woken up by cramps in the morning, unable to take any medication before they became unbearable.
You feel gross. You're in pain. Like no position is comfortable enough.
You were craving food, but your body was currently working against you.
You put on your usual comfort show. Something you know by heart. Every scene. No surprises.
But when a character dies...
Something you've seen countless times before...
You can't help but cry.
Curled up on the couch in loose clothes, ugly comfort clothes. Wrapped in a blanket. Sobbing like you're watching the scene for the first time again.
Suguru walks into the room.
He'd been so helpful since the morning. Making tea. Preparing the heating pad. Making sure you were as comfortable as possible.
You try to hide the fact that you were crying.
So he wouldn't have to take care of that too. But it's too late.
He sits down in front of you, leaving you with nowhere else to look but him.
He softly lowers the blanket you were using to shield your tears.
Then—
His hand comes up to cup the side of your face.
His thumb stroking just beneath your cheekbone.
"Don't hide from me, love." Suguru says quietly. His dark hair cascading down over his shoulder.
"There's no shame. Not here. Not with me." His skin warm against yours.
His thumb slowly wiping the tears away.
❤ Naruto - Kakashi ❤
You've been practicing since the crack of dawn.
You stopped counting how many repetition you'd done.
And yet...
You're still not satisfied with your hand signs.
Not fast enough. Lacking precision.
You're still unsatisfied with your throws. Not sharp enough. They need to be faster.
Sweat is dripping down your forehead and chin.
Your muscles are begging you to stop.
But you won't stop until you're satisfied.
After another set of repetition.
You finally realize that you're not alone on the training field anymore.
Kakashi stands there.
His usual book tucked away in his bag.
Weird.
The Copy Ninja approaches you while you wrap the bandages around your wrist for the second time.
"You don't have to go so hard on yourself. You're skilled." He says, stopping inches away from you.
"Says the best ninja in the country." You shoot back, the frustration directed more at yourself than at him.
"You don't give yourself enough credit." Kakashi replies, trying to make you see yourself as he sees you.
"I feel like no matter how hard I try..." You admit, meeting his dark eye. "...it's never good enough."
His gloved hand comes up to the side of your face, gently brushing a loose strand of hair behind your ear.
His fingers are colder than you expected against your warm skin.
Your breath catches in your throat by his silent display of affection.
"You're enough." He says.
His hand lingers against your cheek.
Like he's trying to make sure you believe him.
❤ Gachiakuta - Enjin ❤
Enjin told you to hop in the car two hours ago.
A surprise he said.
Sitting in the passenger seat. You were doing everything but be a passenger princess. Asking where you were going. Whether you should put on the GPS for him. Whether you should've brought a coat, water, or snacks.
"Are you sure we're not lost..."
You barely have time to finish your sentence when Enjin cuts you off.
"Would you be a doll and hand me a smoke please?" He asks, keeping his eyes on the road. Extending his hand, waiting for the cigarette.
You immediately look through your purse and pull out a cigarette for him.
He puts it to his lips. Knowing full well that you'll light it up for him.
Finally distracting your mind from the fact that you were not in control.
When you settle back into your seat, putting everything back in its place, you realize that Enjin's large hand has taken a place on your thigh.
For a few minutes, all you find yourself doing is examining it.
The nails. How you had developed a little ritual of doing each other's nails. You smile back at the memory.
His knuckles. Hands that worked hard. Warm hands.
The traces of black and red ink across his skin.
He should use more hand lotion. You thought to yourself.
Finally, your gaze follows the tattoos up to his neck, his hair, his face.
Cigarette still between his lips.
Your hand settling on top of his on your lap.
Fingers intertwined together.
His thumb slowly stroking your knuckles.
"Better?" He mumbles, smoke faintly escaping his mouth.
"...yeah." You admit, turning your head to look out the window, enjoying the view instead of micro-managing your boyfriend.
Because you could end up anywhere, as long as it's with him.
❤ My Hero Academia - Hawks/Keigo ❤
You've barely seen your boyfriend this week.
He's been slammed with missions, patrols, media stunts, meetings.
Everything he usually gets in a month.
You knew dating the #2 hero wouldn't be easy, but you couldn't help feeling selfish for wanting him all to yourself for at least a few hours.
You weren't asking much, right?
You were getting ready to head to work.
Making sure Keigo had something ready to eat in the fridge for whenever he would come back home.
You're about to put on your jacket when you hear the familiar sound of the balcony door opening from outside.
You look up only to see him, with his golden eyes already locked on you.
"Are you okay? Did something happen? Are you hurt?" You ask frantically.
The look on his face is unfamiliar to you.
A mix of seriousness, exhaustion and concern.
He takes off his gloves and throws them on the coffee table without looking.
Keigo cups your face between his palms.
"I just miss you so much." His voice strained with exhaustion, barely above a whisper.
His forehead rests against yours for a moment.
Both of you closing your eyes.
Just relishing in the fact that you're finally in the same room.
Being able to talk to him.
To see him. To feel his warmth. To hear his laugh.
"You scared me, babe." You whisper, breaking the silence in the room.
"I just wanted to catch you before you left for work, sweetheart." He admits.
Your heart still hammering behind your ribcage from thinking that the love of your life might have been injured.
And just like clockwork, whenever you're worried, Keigo has a little trick to calm you down.
Ever so softly, his nose begins rubbing on yours.
A small left-to-right motion.
Like a secret sign of affection only the two of you share.
You can't help but smile at the gesture.
Your heart slowly coming back to its normal rhythm, whenever you're around him.
Still filling your chest with butterflies.
"Be careful out there, birdman." You say affectionately, pulling away just enough to look at him.
"Have a great day, beautiful citizen."
❤ One Piece - Sanji ❤
You move quickly around the kitchen.
You try your best, knowing well that your boyfriend will be coming home any minute now.
He's always the one cooking extravagant meals.
Just once. Just this once.
You wanted to surprise him by cooking something for him. Even if you knew well that you couldn't match his talent.
Three different pots are heating up on the stovetop. Vegetables are waiting to be cut on the countertop.
The table is still not made. You wonder how he did it all. He must have superpowers.
Then—
Right when you're thinking about him, the door opens.
"Honey! I'm home! Missed me?" He says excitedly, almost jogging to the kitchen.
You try to double your speed, but it's no use.
It's not ready in time like you wanted it to be.
"Don't come!" You say, but it's no use. Sanji is already looking at the state of your shared kitchen, his kitchen.
Part of you expected him to be upset that you used his kitchen tools without asking.
But every negative thought flew out the window when he grabs both your hand gently. Bringing them to his lips so he can press a delicate kiss on them.
The warmth feels like he's pouring all his devotion for you into one simple motion.
"You worked so hard, for me?" Sanji asks, tears almost brimming his eyes.
"I tried my best, I'm sorry." You try to explain, but there's no use. Sanji is already taking control of the kitchen, like he knew exactly what you were trying to cook for him.
"How about we do this together instead?"
You nod excitedly, relieved that he's finally letting you help. You straightened your back, waiting for his instructions.
"How about you serve the wine and sit on a stool? Tell me about your day, my darling. While I finish up here." Sanji suggested, more of an order wrapped in the most honey tone known to man kind.
You knew there's no use to insist. That's his universe. His love language.
So you serve two glasses of wine.
Sit on the stool, leaning against the counter where Sanji cuts vegetables like it's as simple as breathing.
And tell him about your day while he works his magic in the kitchen.
Drowning in the sound of your voice like he's the happiest man alive.
❤ One Piece - Zoro ❤
You're visiting a new island with the crew.
As usual, you all split into smaller groups. Each with your own part of the island to explore.
You're sent out with Zoro, like usual.
The man can get lost in the blink of an eye but it was harder when he was with you since he never left your side.
Walking between stalls of merchant, your gaze travel from products to trinkets and sometimes people.
You pass someone that resembled closely to someone from your past.
Before the crew. Before the Straw Hats welcomed you. Before Zoro.
You stop dead in your tracks while the person passes beside you, a wicked smirk on their lips.
Are they following you? Is this a coincidence? Do they want retribution or just to torment you?
Your usual confidence and easygoing personality retreat to the back of your mind, like running away from something you desperately survived by sheer spite.
It took Zoro a few tries of calling out your name before you finally hear him.
"Oi! What's the matter with you?" He says, finally gaining a reaction from your gaze finally snapping back to him.
His stern expression turns to the busy street around the two of you.
Then—
One of his thick fingers hook into the loop of your pants. He drags you into an empty alley close by. Your body following his movements while you're on autopilot.
Zoro didn't know all the details of your story. But he knew enough to know hurt and fear were part of it. And that was enough for him.
Once the two of you are out of sight from the public.
Zoro pulls you into a hug, an arm around your shoulders while the other one cradle around the back of your neck.
Like he's trying to hide you from anything that is dimming your inner light.
A silent "I got you."
It was a bit awkward really.
But the gesture. His warmth and softness of his touch helped you.
Enough to confide in him. Enough to trust him. Enough to know that, as long as you're by his side, you won't have to face it alone.
