...he was always sad

BIOGRAPHY
Jeanne Kenyon was a legend among quidditch players at Hogwarts. As one of the best Seekers Hogwarts ever saw, she had a talent on a broom that many players twice her age never matched. Her fourth year she was made captain of the Hufflepuff quidditch team, leading her house to three consecutive cup victories before Gryffindor managed to usurp the team during a rebuilding year. Upon turning seventeen, Jeanne was immediately offered contracts by several of the leading teams in the British and Irish Quidditch League. A fan of the Holyhead Harpies since she was just a little girl, Jeanne eagerly decided to sign with them. Unfortunately for Jeanne, her professional career did not go as well as her run at Hogwarts. During her first game, she was knocked off her broom by a stray Bludger and her right leg was crushed when she landed on the pitch. Although the healers on site immediately fixed her broken bones, Jeanne was never quite the same fearless player as before her accident. She became paranoid of other players and jerked her broom wildly whenever a beater looked her way. After a sub-par first season as a Relief Seeker, she was traded to the Chudley Cannons - the worst team in the league. Jeanne couldn't handle playing for the national laughing stock, sitting out more games than she played. And when her contract was up a year later, Jeanne made no moves to renew it. She preferred to give up playing altogether than continue on with the Cannons. Although Jeanne was down on her luck as a player, her connections in the league served her well. An executive at the Harpies realized Jeanne's talent as a team motivator and offered her an assistant coaching position. Jeanne jumped at the chance, seeing it as her way to relive her glory days captaining the Hufflepuff team. It soon became apparent to everyone involved that Jeanne was better at coaching quidditch then playing it, understanding all the neuroses that went along with flying. She quickly moved up the ladder to a head coaching position, as the Holyhead Harpies moved up the rankings as well. Her team stayed at the top of the league for most of the mid-to-late '90s, despite Captain Gwenog Jones' penchant for starting fights on the pitch. And once they even brought home the quidditch cup. After a dalliance with a player on the Appleby Arrows, Jeanne became pregnant. Giving birth to Stephanie was a bit of a surprise for her, and she mostly lacked maternal instincts. Her household staff and long string of assistants parented her daughter more than she did. The only thing that bonded them was quidditch. Having Stephanie gave Jeanne the ability to mold the perfect quidditch player from a young age. Before her daughter was even steady on her feet, Jeanne had her flying around on a toy broom. And by the time she was four, Stephanie had her own child's broom and could be found running plays against imaginary opponents in the garden. Jeanne suffered some disappointment when it became apparent that Stephanie far preferred the role of Keeper to Seeker, but it didn't change her resolve to make her daughter an all-star athlete. When Stephanie received her Hogwarts letter, Jeanne began planning her first Inter-house Quidditch Cup as Hufflepuff's Captain regardless of the fact that she hadn't been sorted yet. For the most part, Stephanie enjoyed the attention from her mother. Jeanne was so busy with the Harpies' game schedule that she was barely around. When she was present, she spent more time sleeping off her jet lag or planning her team's cutting edge new diet than she did with her daughter. If Stephanie worked hard at quidditch and pushed herself, setting a new speed record on her broom or winning MVP in her pewee leagues, than her mother prioritized her over her job for a few minutes. Or at least Stephanie could make herself believe that. All through Hogwarts, she worked harder and harder every year at quidditch. Until finally in her fifth year she was made Captain of the Hufflepuff team. Her mother was so thrilled that she personally took her to Diagon Alley to shop for a new broom instead of sending her assistant. Exhilarated, Stephanie started off the year with a rigorous new training schedule and spent most of her free time working on her playbook. To her shock though, all her hard work was wasted in the team's first match. The Slytherin team gained an early lead, throwing her team off their game which resulted in a crushing loss for Hufflepuff. Although Stephanie tried repeatedly to rally her team throughout the rest of the season, she only succeeded in winning one game - putting Hufflepuff in last place in the Hogwarts league. No-one on the team held her responsible for their bad season, Stephanie felt that she'd let down her team and blamed herself for their demise. She felt her criticism was validated by her mother, who was barely home all summer - instead apparating all over Europe to draft new prospective players. Stephanie knows that her mother is disappointed in her for letting Ravenclaw clinch the Quidditch Cup, but it's nothing compared to how disappointed she is in herself. Stephanie is determined not to be the last team in the league this year. Having doubled up on quidditch practices, she's watched her team grow stronger than ever. She's still not satisfied yet though. Stephanie spends most of her time poring over her plays and the scoring record for last season, trying to find holes that she can fill before games even happen. When she's not studying the game, she's watching younger Hufflepuffs to find some good reserves to make her team even stronger. She's not willing to let her teammates down again after last season - or worse, her mother.
CONNECTIONS
✘ AUSTIN SOLANO: If there's one member of the Hufflepuff Quidditch Team that Stephanie could gladly do without, it's Austin. Austin is always ending up in detention, therefore making him late to practice. And when he does show up on time, he's distracting other players. If Stephanie had better reserve players, she would gladly boot him from the team and she makes sure he knows it. ✔ JUSTIN DIAMOND: Since she can remember, Stephanie has been trying to convince Justin to play quidditch. She thinks he's an all around great guy and he'd make their team a lot better. Unfortunately, it seems like Justin always has a million excuses as to why he can't join the team. Stephanie knows he probably doesn't want to play, but she can't help herself when it comes to pushing him to try out. ✔ MAXINE OLLIVANDER: Even though Maxine is quidditch competition, Stephanie has come to consider her a close friend. It isn't everyday she comes across someone as completely and totally enamored with quidditch as she is, let alone someone who's destined to change the future of the game. Stephanie knows it's only a matter of time until Maxine's upgrades to brooms yield some serious results and she's a ready and willing test subject. ✘ MILA ZABINI: Stephanie isn't happy that the Slytherins picked their quidditch captain via popularity constant this year, not when she worked so hard to earn Hufflepuff's top spot. She's particularly annoyed with the fact that Mila spends all her time bragging about how Slytherin's going to take home the Quidditch Cup this year when last season she was more worried about how her hair looked. Stephanie isn't one for trash talk, she plans to let her playing do the talking for her, but she plans to bring Mila down.

Fire-pit|| Sarah + Stephanie
Sarah’s Saturday night wasn’t entirely a wild one. It hadn’t been for a long time, not that the blonde was complaining, when a constant back and forth from here to New York for filming was her new norm for the next few months. Yet all she needed was some wine and good company, even if that was just her cat. it wasn’t until the actress rolled over with a message that sparked her interest and suddenly made her night a whole lot better, and possibly trilling as she grinned at the offer Stephanie had suggested. If anything, nothing else seemed as appealing as it did after the other blonde mentioned s’mores and the added bonus of a “company” that would talk back.
Freshening herself up took merely a few minutes before heading out her condo door and towards the fire-pit where “goodies” were awaiting-- and a woman who’s charm seemed to pull her in one she was hardly fighting against. “I see you’ve got some self control-” She mused with a hum in her tone as she noticed the fire already slowly beaming and the woman sitting upon the seating area with wine and s'more untouched. It was quiet, and the lighting really brought the vibe, even if that vibe was them getting their asses completely tipsy off the bottle of wine she quickly spotted. It wasn’t too long before Sarah sat herself down comfortably beside Stephanie, taking one of the glasses that were laid out as the woman opened the bottle. “Napping may be a cherished past-time for me, but thanks for saving my Saturday night” She winked as her glass was being filled.

{ ✵ };; So this was it. For days she had been nervous for the shoot with Tanner and now? Now it was even worse. Though she hadn't really seen him yet, she knew that he couldn't be too far since Stephanie herself was almost ready. The photographer had told her earlier that it would be a Bonnie and Clyde type of photo-shoot, which sounded like a lot of fun to her, but who knew how shooting with Tanner would be? The brunette had mixed feelings about him, really. On one side there was trust, on the other side, she felt quite...annoyed by him. He seemed to be way too cocky for her likings. As the final touches of her make-up were made, the female saw Tanner passing from the corner of her eyes. "Hey!" Stephanie called out, trying not too move too much so her make-up wouldn't be messed up.
{ ✵ };; "Uhm -— sorry? I'm looking for the model agency...is that here?"
