ok but someone talk to me about kamui and takasugi´s relationship ???? lbr it´s so weird and also twisted but geeEEZ. it´s obvious that takasugi uses kamui for his own goals, and kamui knows that but doesn´t mind bc damn, it´s fun. he gets to see and fight strong people while also repaying his debt to takasugi. so tHING IS ??? he should have repaid that debt with saving takasugi during the shogun assassination arc. kamui literally saved takasugis life, and that should be it, right ? debt repaid, great i´ll be on my way again. but no - the 7th division keeps sheltering takasugi and the kihetai aND LATER ON RAKYOU kamui saves takasugis life again, saying that he finally fulfilled his debt and also saying that takasugi needs to get up again ??? bro u already did that u didn´t owe him anymore
kamui and shinsuke developed some weird kind of frienemy relationship over the time they spent together and it´s beautiful. i mean ---- i know it´s morbid but man they had a competition over who would get the head of the real shogun in the beginning of the shogun assassination and i´m sorry but i find that insanely funny to imagine that conversation between all of them while they´re hatching that dumb plan.
