Sorry to be a downer but I am just so annoyed by how crap the Gallavich Hall of Shame was in comparison to Lip’s and Kev and V’s. The Gallavich dialogue was like a bad first draft or something. Badly written and out of character and dialogue purely there to introduce the clips but not there to actually look back at the way their relationship has developed and matured. Instead, Lip’s and Kev and V’s actually progressed the story and were all in character, and importantly their dialogue and actions made sense when compared to previous seasons. Gallavich’s even ended ten minutes early and they just threw up ‘here’s some more clips’ for the last ten minutes without even bothering to tie it to something like a song or a plotline! It seems like there was so little thought put into theirs compared to the others.
I’m choosing to believe it’s because they just ran out of time due to Covid and had to throw something together quickly but it’s just really aggravating to me. I actually enjoyed the other two so far but with my fave couple I have to try and justify stuff a million ways to try and enjoy it and for it to make any sense. Instead of having them just talking and reminiscing about stuff like the others they made them have a big fight, which would be fine if they hadn’t also spent the whole first four episodes so far fighting.
