You know the anon who asked for advice for art not getting much attention that was me, I'm sorry if I'm bothering you but I don't know who to talk to. You seem like a really nice person. I don't really care if my art is popular, I just want to feel like a belong. I've kept this bottled up for a while, but I feel alienated, like some ugly duckling of the fandom everyone avoids. I want to be able to talk to the people I look up to but I feel they what nothing to do with me, I'm sorry.
Hey, it’s gonna be ok. Talking to people is hard, ESPECIALLY if you hold them in high esteem. But you gotta remember that they’re just regular people! They eat, they sleep, they work, some of em go to school, some of em have full time jobs… they’re just people. Like you. So I guess my advice would be to try and take the first step. Go message that person. Go talk to them at lunch. Go initiate a conversation. Yes, it’s scary, and you might think you’re making a fool of yourself, but most of the time you get new friends. Heck, I started talking to my best friend @deviltufts by posting a vague post about em (would not recommend using that method but hey it worked). Just remember to be yourself. Remember that they’re just a person, not some high and mighty deity on a pedestal. No amount of art or writing can really change that. And remember to try an take that first step. Hope this helps you out ’^^
