like there’s a difference between having a voice be Soft and having a voice be Breathy/Airy.  soft voices can have weight behind it, it can channel that air through the note well and carry in soft tones. but Breathy voices tend to sound like the person isn’t properly channeling the air with their voice. my choir teacher really reared us in about channeling our breath properly so when we sing--even when its SOFT--its not BREATHY. like i can hear a song and just Know that when that person performs they are tilting their head WAYYYYY UP TO THE SKY

okay i don’t feel ANY attraction to benedict cumberbatch or whatever but there’s something about his doctor strange look and american voice that is sorta not awful
