i wish i knew more really good written historical fiction for adults though...i feel like there are way more quality period drama shows that are well-done and entertaining even if i don’t agree with every historical or narrative choice. i guess it’s because tv shows have a whole host of people working on them and also usually comparatively larger budgets while historical novels are just like. one person writing and researching. also shows get better publicity so maybe i’m more aware of a wide variety of them whereas with historical novels the ones that get famous are like. phillipa gregory dreck lol.
