#mormonhistorymoments thinking once more about apostle Richard Lyman being excommunicated in 1943 because the rest of the quorum of the twelve found out he'd been having a twenty year long extramarital affair and then like a decade later he was petitioning to get rebapitized and they asked him if he was still having an affair with this woman and he was like "yes" wjasdcbhjszkdfgh
joseph fielding smith on the phone like i dont give a FUCK about your teeth get your ass in here we're excommunicating richard.

i know the way people talk about their pets now is probably how we’ve been doing it for all of history. a cat owner in ancient rome saw their cat lounging on the dining pillows and commented “he thinks himself to be the senator claudius 🤣”
from The Memory Palace, by Nate DiMeo
why do you hate swifties so much
because they aligned themselves with the treacherous count dooku
i also feel like i have a higher tolerance for dumbassery in television than in books on some level.
i feel like this show is basically a mid thriller novel as a show and it did in fact originate as a mid thriller novel which i probably could have read faster than i watched the show. that being said the book would not have had sarah snook screaming and crying majestically in it.
also i know dakota fanning is in fact in her thirties and totally could be the upper middle class professional mother of a six year old but she could definitely pass for being in her early twenties and it is throwing me off.
"all her fault" more like all HIS fault am i right
i could not eat a dozen fried eggs and would never want to do so. but i almost certainly could accidentally eat a dozen deviled eggs if i was at a party or perhaps a picnic and they were there. they are a highly dangerous food item in this way
The devil's greatest trick was convincing the world he doesn't exist. His second greatest trick was that egg thing hoo boy those are good
why the fuck i just got an ad for the concept of beef bourguignon
its 2026 i cannot handle any more fucking "author A obviously ripped off author B" discourse by people Who Have Only Seen the work of author B and admit themselves that they have no further knowledge of the literary landscape they are moving in. like.
