HODGKINS & FIGGS ft. @cecilyhale
The many visits to Timber Hills required lots of excuses. One time he'd pretended he was checking out a bit of real estate. In another, he'd raved about the froyo at the top of the hill. Neither of these things held any real significance, but he'd been on a quest. To find a face that he'd remembered over and over, though it was one that he couldn't place. Gui didn't know her, and certainly had no idea how he would find her. So instead, like some kid with a crush, he'd trudged up and down that hill for weeks until the day he'd see her again. When that day came... He had no idea what he was going to do. The bookstore had gone relatively unnoticed, but once inside, Gui had to wonder why he had never paid a visit before. It was filled with vintage volumes and colorful prints- the likes of which he could imagine spending hours lost within. His curiosity allowed for weathered fingertips to explore the bindings of a selection of classics— until he'd settled on a familiar title and plucked it from it's home on the shelf. Guillaume flips the book open and turns away from the wall, slow steps carrying him forward while he immerses himself in text that he's read a million times before. "I don't suppose ya'll'd be able to get this in a library binding?" He questioned as he approached the counter, finally prying his attention from the book. Mahogany pools flicker to the dark-haired woman opposite him, and his smile widened into a grin. "It might sound silly, but... I don't have a copy like this one. Yet."
What a sucker.
