I don’t get how it’s alright when someone says all of the Homestuck characters are gay, but when someone say’s they’re all straight, everybody flips their fuckin lids. Like ??? Being straight is alright, and so is being gay. So what are we doing that other “All x Characters Are Gay” blogs aren’t that get’s us so much hate? Mod Sollux, out.

Because of my disabilities, I move differently, which is not usually looked upon as a good thing. I’ve especially gotten flack for all the times I’ve been able to communicate with my hands better than my mouth.

This particular kind of shame is especially difficult - because it forms another barrier to communication.  Because in order to communicate you need to work through the fears of what people will think of your signing or writing.

Disabled people are just as beautiful and good and worthy of respect as nondisabled people.

My body is beautiful, my stimming is beautiful, my voice (such as it is) is beautiful, sign language is beautiful and allows more communication.

The heart and the ILY sign are for my disabled sisters/brothers/siblings/cousins.
