✦ termallied / -allied
a form of identification with things / beings / characters / concepts etc that consists of feeling like an ally or a "friend of" said concept. ✧ ✧ ✧ coined by us, you can get the psd template here! ✧ ✧ ✧ some examples include: ✦ feeling connected to dogs through kinship or feeling like a supporter of dogs, but not identifying as one. ✦ relating the concept of light to your gender, orientation, or other identities as a way to contrast the identity of the concept of darkness that is identified with, but not identifying with/as concepts of light. ✦ feeling connected to werewolves as a vampire through allyship with them, but not identifying as a werewolf ✦ feeling allied to a character who is a narrative foil to your source due to their connections in media ✦ and any other configuration of allyship one may feel! this is a pretty vast term, so feel free to utilize it in the way that suits you best ✧ ✧ ✧ this term is made to be used similarly to kin terms, but much more disconnected. it's more of a "i stand by xyz thing" or "i'm a friend to xyz concept" as opposed to "i am xyz thing / concept"
