The thing I don't get when I see anti-endos posting (especially in plural tags) about how they hate seeing endogenic-friendly content: If you want a space populated by only people diagnosed with a CDD, why not make that?

What is stopping you from creating a private Discord server or forum? Like, you could be interacting only with other CDD-havers right now! Today. For the low price of "free."

I feel like some anti-endos walk into an auditorium full of people of all shapes and sizes and go, "Well, I only want to speak to those who have one eye. The rest of you, don't talk to me."

I have nothing against neutrons! Absolutely necessary for the existence of every molecule out there. Very neutral!

I joke, but, uh, I think you may have misread what I wrote.

I said information wasn't neutral. A person can absolutely claim to be neutral on a topic. Is it always a good idea? I'll let you decide based on current world events.

"We're simply against misinformation" is such a loaded statement in the syscourse tag where a bunch of people routinely tell another group of people that their very existence constitutes misinformation.

That word is not a shield against the forces of evil, and information is not neutral. The writers and editors of the DSM are not neutral, impartial robots, and its contents are not without bias (though I'm sure time and effort went into removing as much bias as possible).

There was a time when people were "well informed" that the shape of a skull determined one's lot in life. And it was OK to be racist because skin color predicted intelligence, and that was the most "correct information" at that time. Some people still view man-made climate change as misinformation, and we're at the dying stage of that play.

I don't suppose I could ask everyone to please put the word "misinformation" on a high shelf and not take it down again until you learn how to apply empathy to fellow human beings.

Or at least, define your terms well? Pretty please?
