I think he thinks that sweating is cringe, so he pretends not to care about anything or put in any effort, then he gets annoyed he’s at a disadvantage, bc he’s competitive. So it’s always just a matter of whether his competitiveness or his pride will win on any given day. Bc he wants to be this chill guy who isn’t bothered by anything, and is just effortlessly good at games, and sometimes he is, but most of the time it’s him trying to tow the line between tryharding and not caring at all.
