Drusilla views Barnabas as a traitor. He (as she believes it) abandoned Cainhurst to live among Yharnamites. While she can honor his choice to live of his own free will and to go out on his own volition, it has left a rather profound anger within her -- she feels abandoned by the only other person that she considered family.

“There are several things I must see to before I leave this world may it be willingly or not.  One of those things?  I need to make sure your health remains as it is.  Whether you know it or not, I hold one deep fear in case I ever left this world: You.  The closer one becomes to another, the deeper the pain.  Can you promise me you’ll continue on living?  After all ... I need someone to carry my name to the next generation.”  The last part spoken with a grin as he took pride in his eternal beliefs.
