jourdan sat on one of the dozens of chaises located just outside of the kids’ playhouse, an obnoxiously large stuffed bear placed in her lap. she watched carefully as a couple of kids splashed about in the kiddy pool. one of them, a tiny blonde girl by the name of sophia, had insisted that her bear come along to ‘sun bathe’. her job was to play along, so she did, and she did it with a smile as she had only five more minutes before her shift came to an end. “is he getting enough sun?” the girl called from the water; jourdan grinned and nodded. “he’s loving it, soph,” she replied before a shadow blocked out the sun. glancing up, she grinned once more, leaning forward on the stuffed animal, “you know, you’re kind of getting in the way of ted’s tan time. it is incredibly important to him, and honestly he gets hella grumpy when he doesn’t get enough sun.”
