Book 1 in The Dark Nest Trilogy:
Han Solo has PTSD from almost getting murdered by an insect-like species. He is afraid just to look at insect-like species even with several hundred feet of vacuum between them while he's in the safety of the Millenium Falcon and the other people are just in EV suits spacewalking on their own ship not doing anything hostile. Towards the end of the book he admits he's about to pass the fuck out from sheer terror if they do not leave the nest they're in soon. The fact that he is admitting this out loud at all shows how serious the problem is.
Book 2 in The Dark Nest Trilogy:
oh just kidding he's totally chill we're not going to bring any of that up at all he's just casually reaching out a hand towards a killik to help it climb up a wall like it's no big deal. This is totally normal and nothing to comment on.
Because I guess the author forgot he made sure we were all very aware of how literally traumatized Han is in regards to insect-like species...........
(I say insect-like instead of insect because they're not from Earth, therefore they're literally not insects.)
