I finally found out what I REALLY love about shadowhunters. It's not the story or izzy or malec (even though I love all of that) but the real reason is the books. The show doesn't follow the books exactly - and that's ok - but it still reminds me of my love of the mortal instruments books and that's what I love about shadowhunters the most
