\ VERSE: FRIDAY 13th
anson harriet love lee is a country boy and only son to a cattle rancher from the depth of the american bible belt. unwilling to follow in his father’s footsteps and with a passion for the upcoming grindhouse and exploitation cinema, anson lee takes off to the city to make it big. when the desired fame and success fails to occur, lee begins to travel the country, utilizing his skills and experience as a farm hand and rancher wherever they’re needed. when the opportunity arises to help out at the notorious crystal lake summer camp, anson doesn’t hesitate.
anson is a paid helper and assistant counsellor with a focus on physical labor and housekeeping, lending a hand wherever necessary. anson will specifically come to the other counsellors’ aid upon request, but is nonetheless constantly available on the camp’s premises, busy tending to the camp’s assets.
anson documents the events at the camp with his camera, intrigued with the camp’s dark past. hoping to catch a glance at the horrors of camp crystal lake, unaware of just how true the rumors surrounding it are, anson keeps himself busy with the other counselors’ shenanigans in the meantime. recording a series of effect-seeking short films with everyone willing to participate, anson is especially after getting local oliver quinn out of his trailer and in front of his lens.

CHOPTOP: back at the ranch, when you weren’t moving cattle around, you were chopping wood. you feel so comfortable with an axe in your hand that, when equipped with one, your susceptibility to fear is greatly reduced.
POSITIVE: smaller chance of stumbling and becoming afraid.
NEGATIVE: you can’t carry any knives.
