Need a fic where Stede goes to the dock and tells Ed he can't go to China, because he left without saying goodbye to his family and the guilt is eating him up so he has to go back.
And then Ed is just like, "yeah okay. let's go then. "
And Stede is like, "Oh um that's not quite..."
And is Ed is all, "I'd love to meet the fam!"
So Mary's dead husband crashes her little get together. And if that wasn't bad enough, then her husband's boyfriend walks in a few minutes later.
Ed is an obliviously happy third wheel.
Who are we kidding Mary is the 3rd wheel. She is not oblivious, and she is not happy.
Stede never wanted the two of them to meet and is pretty uncomfy.
Ed is the only one enjoying himself.
Also Ed is great with the kids.
