Well packing has officially been put on hold for Humans finale...
a few days ago, I don’t even really remember how it happened, but I kind of fell down this rabbit hole of reading up on Watchmen and what it was about and I came to a few conclusions:
The story is not something I think I’d ever really get into, the themes are a bit too cynical/grim-dark for me personally, though I can understand why it did so well.
The movie has a beautiful trailer. The use of The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning was particularly apt, and the version that they used is just haunting.
Just from reading up about him and watching a few movie clips, I have fallen inexplicably in love with Rorschach and I don’t know why?? And it’s really confusing because it’s not as if I’ve read or fully watched the material so it’s not like I can make an informed opinion on him as I don’t know all of the things he may or may not do, but I can tell that even if he’s not exactly a good person, he’s a pretty great character. Like I keep going over it in my head like “well, he does have some pretty admirable things about him” but ultimately I can’t say for sure because, again, I don’t know the material well enough and basically this has never happened to me before and I don’t know what to do, please send help???
