Day 2: Chase is on the Case!

AU where Chase and Prowl used to be friends before the war, and now after the war ended (and Chase having been in stasis for basically the entire thing) they meet again.

Chase realizes how much his friend has changed, and it wasn't always for the better. On top of one day everyone Chase knows being fine and the next most of them are dead, Chase realized that the comfort he was looking for from the few he knew that survived would not be found as most have changed so significantly.

Prowl has to confront how much he himself has changed. While he knows life will never be as it once was, this just throws it in his face. His friend no longer recognizes him.

buckle up cuz i have a few headcanons for chades ...

- Blades likes being carried by Chase becuz it makes him feel bonita 💜💜💜💜

^ continuing from that, Chase actually loves taking care of Blades and Blades loves taking care of Chase, they take turns caring for each other ... ok? ...

- headcanoning their love languages being touch and quality time .... when the burns aren't around the bots would give each other hugs because they've seen the burns do it so much that it kinda grows onto them ,,, but for Chase and Blades they also cuddle AND MANY HUGS N KISSES when they're alone ,,, they're a very affectionate bunch in my eyes ....

- they Loooove being near each other partly because of the reassurance that they're by each other's side comforts them from the fact that they MAY BE the last rescue bots on left in existence (pre-High tide)

- Blades uses his pretty privilege to get Chase to do a LOT of stuff (fixing the tv, during games, etc.) and Chase falls for it most of the time

- they're VERY flirty and also insanely sweet with eachother . Chase can AND WILL flirt back (or initiate the flirt battle)

- After revealing to the humans, they take MANY dates together cuz they can finally be themselves in front of the whole town 🥹🥹

^ they definitely watch musicals together . maybe even dnd ... BUT THEY WOULD ROLEPLAY FOR SURE

- after Optimus separated them to be literally ACROSS THE GLOBE from each other, I'd like to think that they asked Doc Greene to make like ... a signal boosting tech so that they can talk to each other whenever they want and not just the weekends ,,, 🥺🥺🥺

- they're both clingy but Chase would be the clingier one. Yes. Chase.

^ the amount of times i noticed Chase being around Blades (ESPECIALLY DURING S3) made me squeal they're so goddamn cute BLADES IS NOT GOING ANYWHERE MAN

expanding on the bots being very affectionate(/platonic) to eachother;

- you would've noticed how affectionate the burns are to each other as u watch tfrb ,,, and i headcanon ,,, that the bots would assume that its an earth thing, so they start doing it too and bonded more ,, 🥹🥹🥹 MOSTLY WHEN KADE* ESPECIALLY isn't around ,,, (also feeds into their secret dread that they may be the only rescue bots left in existence and that their friends are gone but thats a talk for another day)

Blurr, Salvage, and Quickshadow would also eventually fall victim to the hugs because I SAID SO !!!!!!!

High tide wouldn't fall victim to the hugs BECAUSE HE'D BE THE ONE DOING THE HUGGING ,,, but only to Optimus because that's his dear old friend 🥹🥹🥹

would i think they'd be having a big group hug from time to time? Yes. Because they're so family to me they're family they're family they're family ,,, and then the hugs gets passed down onto the recruits BECAUSE HUGS ARE AWESOME !!!!
