praetorians are a type of celestial like ivory but in a more larval stage of their development

inner praetorians are "freshly hatched", whilst outer praetorians are the "larvae" in various stages of "pupation" (depending on how far out they are)

also ivory is still technically in the pupa stage (or just before that)

we dont really know how many kinds of celestials there are .
