hi everoyne i'm mars (any pronouns) and i'm SO excited to get connor in here!! this muse ran me over like a freight train and i'm really looking forward to getting things going with him as soon as possible!

most of what i'd put in a character intro is on his acceptance post, and you can find his profile and background on their respective pages. i'm going to put some plot ideas under the cut on this post so please take a look and send me a message if anything tickles your fancy or like this post if you'd like me to reach out to you!! i have discord available upon request too.

ok first of all... all you other hockey team members... i'm already reading over your profiles and i hope we can plot soon... i would love to get a group chat going if we're all comfy with that! honestly most of what i know about connor is his hockey career, which is very telling about this muse in itself, so i'm DEFINITELY looking forward to getting things going that way!

weight room/workout buddies... connor hates leg day (and arm day... and core day... okay really he just hates working out in general) but it's a little less terrible with company. a friendly rivalry could be nice here, pushing each other to both go a little longer, lift a little heavier, within reason of course. also y'know you're supposed to have a spotter or something so that'd be nice too!

also other athletes who have gone through injuries... connor has inevitably spent a lot of time with the athletic trainer not just for his concussions but for the myriad of other injuries picked up over hockey season... you've probably crossed paths before

can connor copy your notes... or cheat off of your test... he's notoriously terrible at academics but honestly? he doesn't care about them as much as he should. he's only going to university to play hockey... but he should probably come out of here with a degree if possible. failing out definitely isn't an option!

there's no delicate way to say this but connor is kind of a slut... he flirts easily and openly with women... while he's attracted to men, he's very deep in the closet (blame toxic masculinity that's rampant in hockey culture) so the Situation has to be just right for him to do the same with men. that said, he'd hook up with half of this campus if you let him. situationships, fwbs, and flirtationships are all on the table, past or present. as for a committed relationship... well... we'd have to plot it out because i can't promise that he'd be totally faithful </3

hey everyone it's mars here again with a third muse! you may know me from previous hits @andxnte and @timbxrs and now i'm back with a new kid who hopefully rounds out my muse lineup nicely :)

anyway, you can get a lot from his profile and bio but i'll put a few more facts under the cut! and of course if you'd like to plot with luke, shoot me a message or like this post and we're ready to get involved!

alright so i kinda realized i accidentally wrote his bio more from the pov of his parents than including his own thoughts and feelings, so i'll try to give some more insight into that... basically luke was lowkey parentified, his mother in particular because she had to lean on him to translate for her in canada and his dad was spending long hours at work. this kinda forced him to grow up too fast, and he accepted this until he started to become a teenager and realized how unfair his situation was. it sounds kinda insane to use the idol industry as an "escape" to freedom, but that's exactly what he did. it gave him an excuse to leave his parents' home for an extended time and he doesn't hate it tbh, so he's soaking up this experience while he tries to decide what comes next.

that said he loves his family! he really does! he has his grandparents and probably aunts/uncles/cousins in south korea so he's not exactly alone here (and i am so open to plotting out extended family relationships too just saying...). he does struggle with some guilt at likely leaving his younger siblings in the same situation he left, and he misses them, but he had to do this for himself.

a lot of his community growing up was through church btw. his parents attended a korean community church in toronto where some services were held entirely in their native language. they became very involved as it was a way to connect with the culture they moved away from for luke's dad's job. another reason he wanted to get away is because of his bisexuality, which he knew he could never admit to his very conservative parents, and y'know still acknowledges that south korea isn't exactly the place one would go to in order to explore that but it is what it is. he's not totally sure of his own religious beliefs at this point in his life but kinda appreciates the fact that it doesn't have to be a priority right now either.

all this said, he still very much has caretaker tendencies despite being one of the youngest members of his group (and in the company?)!! that's sort of how he adopted the "mood maker" role for himself; he can't exactly take care of his members or anyone else like he would his younger siblings, but he can try to make them laugh or brighten their day a little bit. he's kinda good at it too since he's not really afraid to make a fool of himself. it's why he keeps going viral for dumb shit too and he's probably the guy hosting the party in the fanfic since he comes across as super extroverted and friends with everyone.

he's actually way more chill than his image would imply though. he's not actually full of boundless energy and is perfectly happy to sit in silence and just relax when he has the opportunity. but he does put pressure on himself to be the funny guy, to make everyone around him happy, and ALSO that "chronically online" image means that he's VERY active on social media and hi-u. social media, unfortunately, is a 24/7 job and fans are becoming increasingly entitled to his time and attention and a touch of people pleasing tendencies make it hard for him to establish boundaries. luke's doing his best, but this is definitely a theme i want to keep exploring and how it'll affect him longterm!

i don't have any particular plot ideas right now and kinda prefer to work things out on a case by case basis, so if luke sounds like fun to you then please hmu with a like or a message or a nudge on discord and we can get something going!! i think this is all i have to say for now <3

hi everyone and happy midas opening day!! im super excited to be here and get involved so... let me introduce myself and the boy and hopefully get some connections going asap!!

anyway i'm mars (they/them, 25+, discord available upon request but im usually better in tumblr ims tbh) and this is chu dantae! though Officially it's romanized as "dante" for his celebrity work these days... i won't bore u with the fine details here since they're on his profile and history pages but i will kinda describe where he's at right now and include a few plot and connection ideas below!

ok about dante.....

this is unfortunate but he's actually incredibly asocial, depressed, burned out, and hates everyone and everything at all times. which might make him difficult to plot with but bear with me because i SWEAR there are ideas below to get started with...

tl;dr is that he's been doing this idol thing in some capacity for nearly 15 years and he's suffering from burnout and resents his image and his family who are constantly asking him for money yet he's been doing this since he was a kid so he has no other marketable skills and no idea what else he'd even want to do so. here he is. he's a muse really designed to dive into the nasty side of the industry and the psychological effect fame can have especially on someone young without a good support system!

very close friends only can call him dani behind the scenes. he'll probably change his name once he actually retires.

obviously he has his vices... and can be a little reckless behind the scenes, like he wants to ruin his own image and force his own retirement, but he doesn't want to actually plan it and cause it intentionally, so he's kinda playing mind games with himself and might sleep around, smokes, doesn't know moderation with drinking, goes to clubs (and then immediately goes home bc he's exhausted as it is and that only makes it worse), etc.

enough about him tbh let's get to the plot/connection ideas... it's a little tough since he's so asocial but let's see what we can do anyway!!

ok first of all there's a bunch of possible features up for grabs on his career page if anyone is interested in any of these! force dante to interact with his coworkers challenge. maybe your muse takes his asocial behavior as him being a diva, maybe they're sympathetic to his exhaustion, maybe they saw a little passion still left in him when he's actually doing music. lots open to discussion here!

also on his career page is mentioned that he was in a small company and unsuccessful boy band. i already looped @goldyashes into being another member of the group but it's absolutely open to more members... they just have to be older than dante. alternatively, the company could have had other trainees that overlapped paths w dante back then, maybe a girl group that was also ultimately unsuccessful?? i left things intentionally vague so we can plot around it!

exes, fwbs, hookups, flings, etc.... i feel like dante has/had a messy love life... admittedly he has a bad view of women because of fans so inevitably that's going to potentially shape relationships, possibly gravitates more towards men (he would like to be clear that despite appearances and his public image he is Not a sub bottom. just for the record)

he needs friends... people who put up with his prickliness because they know there's a good heart under there... he's actually so tsundere actually he'll say i hate u leave me alone but then he'll have your favorite drink in his fridge every time u come to see him...

he's great for making enemies/rivals too btw he's not afraid to be mean or to be the bully in someone else's life (if he feels justified in what he's doing/saying ofc... he's not evil for evil's sake)

hi everyone and sorry for the late intro!! i'm august (he/they) and i've joined gaenari with both gayul here and @gnseohan! i should probably make a separate into post on him but realistically i'll only be monitoring one account at a time so. gayul is the big winner this time !

lmao anyway i don't really have a discord for rp purposes so i'm stuck in ims for now but i'll put a little detail about both muses under the cut and leave this as an open plot call for anyone!

CHU GAYUL:

gaenari native born & raised; for a quick family background she has upstanding parents, three (much) older brothers who have all moved out of town, and a younger brother (@gngaram) who is the black sheep of the family but her favorite brother by far.

her father owns chu's, a diner that's been in the town for decades and was originally founded by her grandfather. gayul currently works at the diner for her parents, kinda filling in wherever is needed; she's there most nights including tuesdays, when her mother takes over the restaurant and turns it into a soup kitchen with the help of her church. mrs. chu is quite religious, by the way.

gayul herself had different dreams, though... she wanted to be a singer-songwriter, even teaching herself guitar (and having previously suffered through childhood piano lessons that she didn't appreciate until later in life). her idols are taylor swift, olivia rodrigo, heize, iu, and similar female solo acts & creatives. unfortunately, that career has obviously not yet taken off and has been put on the backburner while she prioritizes her family.

while her older brothers all went to university and have very successful careers all over the country, gayul was never able (see: allowed) to pursue higher education, instead only earning her high school diploma before she was more or less expected to just take care of her family. her father is getting old and can't physically keep up with the restaurant like he used to, so gayul and her limitless loyalty stepped up to help out.

she sort of knows that the restaurant will be passed to one of her older brothers and that they'll likely sell it off or close it down once they inherit it. she's working hard and learning the ins and outs so she can hopefully change her parents' minds on that decision and make sure that chu's stays in the family for generations to come.

as you might be able to tell, her family is incredibly conservative overall with very traditional views especially regarding gender roles. for these reasons, gayul has not told anyone that she's been dating @jiyeongn since high school and is very much in love with her.

gayul's sensitive and emotional and overall incredible soft and gentle; i kinda describe her as a "new soul" and she's incredibly pure of heart; she's loyal to a fault and her family is more important to her than anything, despite the way they treat her unfairly based on her sex. she quietly works toward her own goals when she can but helping her family will always take priority, whether that's helping to mend bridges and make amends or physical labor in the sense of running the restaurant or practically raising her little brother (who's really only three years younger than herself).

POTENTIAL PLOTS/CONNECTIONS: former classmates? gayul was a good student, maybe old friends who don't understand why she didn't go to uni. regulars at the diner; she knows your order by heart and will give occasional freebies if you look like you're having a rough day. family friends or friends from her mother's church? the chu family has been a well-known family in gaenari for generations, so surely there's a connection there somewhere. one of her older brother's ex-girlfriends who she actually really liked and hoped they would marry... friends, rivals, etc., anything really!

KIM SEOHAN:

here he is... gaenari's golden boy... the pinnacle of success... a hometown hero with the pressure of everyone's expectations on his shoulders...

to make a very long story short, seohan was born blessed. first of all, he was a "rainbow baby", a miracle to his parents who had been struggling with fertility issues for a while. and he had the bad luck to be born handsome, and intelligent, and talented. but these are good things? you say; well, not when it creates the expectation that he will always be handsome and intelligent and talented.

basically, seohan's grandfather introduced him to baseball at a young age; seohan fell in love with the sport. he played little league, then joined his high school team, then eventually got a scholarship to play for a prestigious university in seoul where he was also studying athletic training (so when his sports career inevitably ended, he could still find a job in the industry somehow).

good luck stuck again and seohan ended up not finishing his studies; he was scouted to join the KBO (national baseball league) and found himself on the futures team (minor league/farm team) for the hanhwa eagles, close to home in daejeon. he might have only been a minor league player but he was good looking enough that he ended up being requested for sponsorships and endorsements, at least on a local/regional level, and garnered some amount of fame.

however. he was pulled up to the major leagues for his first game. he was projected to have his big breakout, to make a name for himself on a national level, but unfortunately he suffered a season-ending injury to his right knee; ruptured ACL and torn meniscus; he's already undergone surgery and has many months of physical therapy and conditioning ahead of him before he'll be on the field again. so that's why he's in gaenari; he's recovering with the help of his family while he waits to heal up for next season.

he originally planned to stay in daejeon and recover with the help of his girlfriend, but she left him shortly after his repair operation, saying she lost all attraction to him after seeing him "like that."

so while he's in town, his old high school coach convinced him to help coach the high school team he used to play for and encourage the kids who probably have dreams of making it big like him someday. he agreed only as a favor to his coach, and it's about the only thing that gets him out of the house these days other than physical therapy appointments and the occasional endorsement or sponsorship that still trickles in despite the injury, though on a much smaller scale than he had been reaching before.

oh, also, he's gay. no one knows that and he keeps it very close to his chest. he did love his most recent ex-girlfriend but he wasn't attracted to her either.

in terms of his personality, he's rather conservative/reserved and really thinks before speaking; he's incredibly conscious of his image and it's like his biggest fear is letting people down or disappointing them. he's a bit sullen right now because he's struggling with failure for what might be the first time in this life and he doesn't know how to cope with it yet. still, he tries to fulfill the "image" that the town must have for him; he smiles even though it's faked and forced, he's polite and kind to everyone, and he's been hitting the gym a lot to stay in shape as much as he can while still healing. he's on the quiet side normally, but he's capable of holding a conversation.

POTENTIAL PLOTS/CONNECTIONS: old rivals? people he pissed off in high school for supposedly being "arrogant" or something? seohan definitely could've come off that way though it wasn't intentional. fans who have been rooting for him since his kbo futures debut; old friends who he hasn't been good at keeping up with who might be mad at him for that now that he's back in town or oppositely understanding and just happy to hang with him again... i'd love a best friend for him who he can actually trust with everything since he keeps a lot of his true thoughts and feelings so private... again, anything really!

i’ve been super slow to get started on reaching out and plotting with more people and i wanna fix that! i had a bunch of ideas and none of them were taken, so i’m reposting them below and trying to add a couple more.

plots below:

werewolves: while jiayi probably thinks it’s not worth wasting his time on omegas, he can size your muse up and ask them if they’re interesting in helping him out, and if he can test their strength.

werewolves: jiayi was an excellent babysitter in his pack, meaning that he was great at training younger, weaker wolves to be better. if your muse needs a little help getting in touch with their wild side (literally), he’s the go-to guy.

werewolves: territory skirmishes, whether he’s bailing your muse out from a situation or jiayi is the one in trouble with your muse. either way could be interesting i think!

vampires: because of his upbringing, he really hasn’t had much exposure to bloodsuckers. he’s also been taught that they’re dangerous and to be feared, if one’s not confident enough that they can destroy them. i would love to see both muses who cement his fears, and ones who try to convince him otherwise.

familiars: he has never met one in person before so he would like to fight one (if they’re close to his wolf’s size, he’s not gonna try to fight a rabbit). just to see how the fae’s og companions compare to the witches’/”lite” version.

witches: not exactly a plot, but jiayi would be very respectful and maybe a little bit stiff around a witch. they are descendents of the fae, after all, and that deserves respect. maybe it makes your muse uncomfortable and they want him to loosen up? or your witch already has a chip on their shoulder that jiayi just enables.

anyone/hunter?: jiayi is not familiar with the city’s hunters and how their methods and tactics compare to the ones he knew out in the country. he gets stuck in a trap (we can discuss the details later) and EITHER A: your muse, who is not the hunter, helps him out. or B: your muse is the hunter. what comes next may depend on your muse. possibility for multiple plots tho not if i feel like he’s getting stuck in a trap every other day or something; he would learn better quick enough

anyone: someone stole your favorite [hoodie? jeans? pick an item of clothing that’s quickly and easily recognizable and somewhat unique]. jiayi’s wearing it, and they spot him. what happens next?

anyone: you don’t listen to jiayi’s insistence that he’s fine on his own and that he needs a place to spend the night. you might regret letting an untrained animal into your home, but at least you already clarified it’s just for one night.

LONGTERM&RELATIONSHIP

BROTHER IN LAW TO BE (0/1); male, wongyeong witch, 22-28 years old

joowon, his older sister, has been promised to this witch since she was nineteen years old. details can be discussed, but i imagine that since she’s now in her mid-twenties the families want them to wed soon.

COUSINS (0/?); any gender, gwiin or jaeseung witch, any age

they grew up meeting at family gatherings, maybe they got along well or maybe they bickered at everything. details can be discussed and refined between muses, but some ideas include, but are not limited to:

BEST FRIENDS SINCE BIRTH: the two act as if they’re siblings and have been inseparable since the first time they met. maybe they went to the same high school, maybe they terrorized their classmates together with sharp tongues that aren’t afraid of anyone.

ARE YOU SURE WE’RE RELATED: despite shared blood, they just simply do not get along. they fight like cats and dogs, sometimes disagreeing just to disagree and fight some more. but at the end of the day, they’re still family, and if anyone messed with one, they’d have the other to answer to.

CLASSMATES, FORMER AND CURRENT (0/?); any age or genera, 18-22 years old

hawon is, unfortunately, a very lazy student, but he’s also a very social one. he wasn’t king of the class by any means, but he certainly was known around his high school campus. now in college, he’s built up a similar charismatic reputation for himself. some classmate ideas include but are not limited to:

FATE HATES: back in high school, you couldn’t stand hawon. he was too loud, too disruptive, and you were there to study and get your work done. maybe you even told him to his face that he’d never get into college with his behavior. but oh, what’s this? you’re both attending the same university now and you’ll have to deal with his antics for another couple years? fate must really have it out for you.

DOUBLE TROUBLE: preferably high school, but could go for college as well. the two were best friends and twin terrors to the school. outspoken, cracking jokes and talking out of turn, the two of them landed themselves in detention about a hundred times. that’s okay though, if terror #2 wasn’t already a witch themself, hawon revealed his witchy secret and would use a little magic to help them clean the classroom and get out quicker.

HOMEWORK HELP: hawon might be a lazy student, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t totally care about his grades. you’re his go-to study buddy, the person who can keep him on track even when his mind is wandering a thousand miles away. maybe it’s annoying to have to help the guy so often, or maybe you sorta enjoy his company.

UNOBTAINABLE OBJECT (0/1); any gender or genera, 18-22 years old

you’ve admired hawon for a while. he’s flirted with you a little bit too, but every time you think you’re getting somewhere with him, he suddenly backs off and doesn’t speak to you for a few days. rinse and repeat. honestly, hawon doesn’t have any interest in you and isn’t intentionally leading you on, but he can’t help the jokes he makes and the way he is. when is enough enough?

FRIENDS WITH MY EX (0/1); any gender or genera, 18-22 years old

they dated, maybe even just briefly in high school, but they quickly learned that they make much better friends than lovers. they stayed close to this day, maybe even still flirt playfully a bit, but otherwise they know that it’d never work out between them. they have a great time when they hang out anyways though.

BLOOD THIEF (0/?); any gender, vampires, any age

witches may not taste all that great to vampires, but undead blood is such largely unexplored potential when it comes to magical potions and spells. could a kind vampire let hawon borrow a little blood every now and then to experiment with? he promises it won’t hurt, he only needs a small vial or so...

DOWN, BOY (0/1); any gender, familiar, any age

a familiar is supposed to want to be bound to a witch, right? and a witch is supposed to want to have a familiar to help them out, aren’t they? well, it turns out that hawon has commitment issues, and no matter how well you think you get along with each other, he has no interest in taking on a familiar at this time.

CAT & MOUSE (0/1); any gender, hunter, any age

hawon might not have been the target, but his boisterous personality has certainly made him a target, if only because you want him to shut up. there’s really no reason to kill the young witch, but you threaten him often. he, in return, calls your bluff. it’s been a long game between the two, hawon somehow always wriggling his way out even when you really think you’re gonna pull the trigger this time.

SCENARIOS

open to any age, genera, or gender unless otherwise specified

hawon sold you a fake charm and you figured it out quickly. he’ll replace it if you start making demands of him, but wait, don’t attack his character. it wasn’t supposed to be a scam, he was just lazy and didn’t think you’d notice the difference.

you recognize that voice. that’s the same person that you/your family member/your friend was calling on the phone for a psychic reading! for some reason, you didn’t expect a telephone psychic to look so... normal. or young. but you might have to confront him about the fortune he told or the money you/your family/friend wasted on his call.

do you want to know your future? hawon can predict it for you, if properly motivated. but he’s such an easy liar that you’re not sure you can trust what he says anyways. maybe talking to this witch was a mistake.

someone point out to him the irony that the only animal protein he’ll eat is fish, but he burns the cleaned bones of other animals to predict the future. that’s gotta be breaking some sort of pescatarian rule, right?

(18-22 years old) hawon hits on you, jokingly. he doesn’t expect you to get so flustered, or get as red in the face, but now that he’s seen it he’s just gotta keep tormenting you with his flirty jokes.
