I am open to a new long term relationship but I’m extremely specific about what I’m looking for.
Someone meets me and is into me
And I’m like, yeah, I see you trying to find events to go to and showing me cool stuff. You’re like a cute male bird showing off a pretty nest.
But I don’t want that nest.
And it’s only been one meeting and a few days….
So then the person actually writes in a public place
“I am flirting with you”
So I write in a private place
Yeah I know. Slow your roll. You’ve met me once and read a very small amount of my stuff. I do not know enough about you to even know if we can be friends and definitely don’t like you the same way right now, and to be honest you don’t know enough about me to actually like me. I think you just like the thought of liking me.
And it still kinda destroys them.
Why is pairing up as humans* so fucking emotionally difficult?
*clarification: neurodivergent humans
(It’s not like I didn’t work myself up into a parasocial limerence tizzy the other week, just like this person did with me! But I at least, at my age, noticed I was doing that and reined it in myself…?)
Also, I might add, this person who is gobsmacked and staggered is ten years older than me, according to their posted info.
There’s another person about 15 years younger than me who is clearly into me but is absolutely vigilant about the boundaries I am setting and even repeating them back to me if they propose hanging out in some fashion.
I think I want to date someone younger than me….
But not that much younger than me.
I repeat: Why is pairing up as humans so fucking emotionally difficult?
Elon Musk unveils the Model 3 at the Tesla Design Studio March 31, 2016. I was among the first to take a ride in the new car and was impressed with the design, power, and great looks! The interior just has one 4:3 ratio monitor in a horizontal positon. There are no gauges or dials anywhere! Still a very fast car and I'm sure options will include models that can go 0-60 in the 4.5 second range. Base models will innclude auto pilot and supercharging.
Spotless 1970 Shelby GT 350 Mustang convertible. She’s sporting a 351 Windsor under the hood with either a C4 automatic or a Toploader 4-speed (not sure which one in this car).
Brand new she was only $4,753 and could scream a 0-60 time in just over 6 seconds.
