‘ close the door behind you please, ‘ she greeted, not even looking up from her stack of paperwork as the familiar figure came into her doorway. Nellie didn’t need to look up to know who was there. Marlene was the only McKinnon on her parents approved list to speak to, and though Nellie cared little about their opinions, it did make her life easier to at least pretend to follow along. Nellie waited until she heard the door shut, before looking up at her cousin with a small grin. She tossed her pencil on her desk and sighed, ‘ break time already? thank merlin. ‘
