The better part of her day had been making sure that everything was ready for the party. With how tense everything was, she knew this was the perfect excuse for people to let loose and enjoy themselves. Even if it was just for a night, there were no expectations and no responsibilities. Of course, she couldn’t have gotten all of this accomplished without a little help from her friends, and she was grateful that Lily had helped her decorate and set things up. All in all, she decided that it turned out better than expected. Having taken advantage of the never ending drink table, Mary was well on her way to having the hangover of the century tomorrow. The first part of the evening had been dedicated to mingling and making sure that everyone was having a good time. Now, Mary was content to just enjoy the rest of her night.

Mary couldn’t be more excited that she and Lily had figured out how to make their record players work here. As her favorite song started, Mary immediately sought out her favorite red head. Spotting her, she quickly moved through the crowds and grabbed her hand, “Come on , we’re dancing you can’t tell me no” she gushed excitedly. Her grin was wide and vibrant and her eyes were just a touch glassy to show the alcohol she’d been consuming. Right before the chorus started, Mary dragged them up onto the table.
Holding onto Lily’s hands she danced without a second thought as to who was watching. Throwing her head back, she yelled “Don’t stop me now, I’m having such a good time, I’m having a ball”.
