Magnemite uses electromagnetic waves to form a sort of "anti-gravity" that it uses to float, but you can sometimes find Magnemite on the ground who've run out of internal electricity, and you can give these Magnemite batteries to get them off the ground again.

Magnemite are attracted to electromagnetic waves.

The electricity Magnemite emits from its sides to create the electromagnetic waves it uses also makes the sides of its body into a strong magnet, and if it spins the units on its sides enough it can draw in an iron object from over 300 feet away.

Magnemite feed on electricity, and in the past they used to be real nuisances for power plants as they would cause blackouts by feeding on the plant, so before power plants began burying electrical lines more, they would have to emit certain electromagnetic waves to deter Magnemite (though breaker boxes inside of houses are still easy targets for Magnemite).

Touching a Magnemite will often cause you to suffer a full-body shock.
